Unnecessary Photo of the Day: Sienna Miller Hiding

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Photos, Paparazzi Photos

Sienna Miller

After seeing this new photo of , I felt compelled to say a few things to the Mistress of Disguise.

  1. Why bother covering up? We’ve already seen you naked.
  2. Hiding won’t make the photographers go away. If anything, they’ll just try harder next time.
  3. Try smiling. It’ll throw the paps off.
  4. Blocking your face won’t necessarily make us less interested. If anything, you’ve just increased the value of the shot.
  5. You do realize that we can still see you…right?

In most cases, working in a fashion-driven environment usually has its benefits. Unfortunately, has not yet reaped any of those. These two pictures clearly show that the hasn’t walked away with anything from her CW show - whether it be clothes from the drama’s wardrobe department or knowledge from the costume designers.

Ironically, both of these outfits were worn during New York’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. (The black deal on the left was worn at the Fashion Rocks event last Friday; the potato sack on the right was worn earlier this week at one of the runway shows.)

Sorry, Jenny Humphrey. If you really want to be accepted in Blair Waldorf’s inner circle, looking like Tara Reid isn’t the way to go.

Ladies and gents - it’s time once again to recap those celebs currently heading toward parenthood. (Who knew a list written just two weeks ago would already be outdated?)

There’s nothing like a little competition between friends…right?

Last night during Mercedes-Benz’s Fashion Week, new BFFs (with a fresh Mia Farrow-inspired cut) and enjoyed the Marc Jacobs fashion show together. But based on their carefully thought out poses, you’d have thought the two ladies were the models, not the observers.

Had I not known these two were gal pals, I would have sworn they were trying to outpose each other. Then again - maybe they were.

Alec Baldwin vs. My Name is Earl

Alec Baldwin

When Hollywood’s teen starlets engage in a feud, it’s usually over some hot young male celeb. When mature female stars squabble, it’s usually about publicity - and which one of them has a book out that talks about the feud. When well-established males in the industry start trading catty comments like a couple of kids…that’s entertainment.

started the brawl of the comments in the New Yorker. In Baldwin’s lengthy profile, the actor launched into a gripe aimed at NBC shows My Name is Earl and Scrubs. Baldwin can currently be seen on NBC show 30 Rock, but after this one has to wonder for how long. When speaking of 30 Rock, Baldwin said, “if the show does succeed, it’ll be something of a [expletive deleted] miracle, because NBC hasn’t done a [expletive deleted] thing to help this show at all.” He further went on to state that NBC has “gone out of their way to wring the last drops out of My Name Is Earl and Scrubs. Those shows are done! They’re cooked! Yet they do a one-hour episode of Earl. You’ve got to be [expletive deleted] kidding me.”

Now that summer is coming to an end, it’s now time to bring out the shades reminiscent of fall.

These green dresses - like the orange ones we profiled earlier - are not outfits than can be easily worn by everyone. How do you think these three ladies (Dita Von Teese, Kirsten Dunst, Carla Cugino) did?

Brothers & Sisters

Ever since the news of Balthazar Getty and Sienna Miller’s relationship came out, the blonde actress has been getting grief in many different forms. One minute she is snapped crying at a gas station and the next minute her house is being vandalized.

But as we all know - it takes two to tango. So it’s at least nice to know that Getty is receiving his fair share of the cold shoulders out there. Unfortunately for Balthazar, he has to face that tension every time he shows up to work.

Jessica Simpson

Many tuned in this weekend to watch MTV’s VMAs, which rewards popular artists for their innovation in a genre MTV only barely still supports - the music video. But while many artists are trying to find their feet in an ever-changing pop world, is clinging to the traditions of country music.

If her dress, hair style and eye-grabbing cleavage don’t remind you of Dolly Parton, nothing will. Jess strutted onto the Grand Ole Opry stage for her much-anticipated Nashville debut - and today most of the critics are talking much more about her chest and much less about her choice of song.

VMA Fashion: Who Hit a Sour Note?

MTV Award

Award season is long, fraught with gossip, and seemingly unending. Someone always walks away with a statue - some performers and artists walk away with several. But by the time the same awards are given out the next year, no one really cares who won what the year before.

What we do remember is what they were wearing when they were doing it. People may not remember which Grammy Jennifer Lopez won the year she wore the green Versace gown, but they remember the gown. This year’s may be remembered for several years - the pictures not of moon men statues, but of the clothes everyone wore.

Whose couture sang the sweetest…and whose fashion was completely discordant?
