Avril Lavigne Launches Fragrance
For someone who has lashed out about her fellow pop rivals like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and even Paris Hilton, newlywed Avril Lavigne is hypocritically following right in their footsteps by launching a fragrance line.
The 23 year old “punk"-turned-glam girl has already penned a deal with Proctor & Gamble Prestige Products, she divulges to Women’s Wear Daily: “Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone.”
No word yet as to an exact date; however, if you truly plan on purchasing the product, you can expect it in late 2009. As much as I loathe her, I can never deny how large her fan base is. There are, after all, too many confused pre-teens and misguided teenagers who would succumb to actually spending money on this. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hot Topic ended up supplying the perfume, either.

How is Avril “hypocritically following right in their footsteps” she called Paris a slut and said Britney can`t sing , what has that to do with a fragrance ?

Since day one, she has proclaimed how she never is going to turn out like Britney, yet she has completely turned around and dresses nothing like she used to, sounding pop-ier with every album (not that I liked her before, but still), and now this. There’s also the fact that she slammed Britney for being a bad public image with all the half-nude/nude photo shoots she does when she just posed topless herself for a magazine cover. She says that Britney does crazy things to get the paparazzi’s attention, when it’s clear that all her shots at Britney are for that very purpose itself—to get people to look and talk about her since she clearly isn’t doing half as well as Britney. I don’t know how that’s not hypocritical.

I like avril because of her looks and i became her fan when i heard the song “I wanna be your girl friend” .
But as you are talking, I wish Avril shoudn’t get spoiled like britney.
The reason why britney got spoiled is because she made paris hilton as her friend, I dont expect this from avril.

hello^_^ i have loved avrillavigne since she has came out! i have been to every concert tht she plays near me and i cant wait to the next!!

hello again well i was reading comments at the top and to be true avril is far better than Britney no matter wot any 1 says because avril has more wit and is better singer(and i am a singer not famous though) and maby avril has tured girly but i will have the same thoughts tht i had before and i all ways will. each to there own. and i dont care if she has changed cause she still is avril lavigne it dosent matter wot way she dresses it is the voice tht matters after all she is famous for singing and not looks!!
