Bachelorette Deanna Pappas Calls Off Engagement

Although it looked like there might be one more Bachelorette walking down the aisle, another ABC star has just called off her engagement. Nearly four months after giving her heart to Jesse Csincsak, DeAnna Pappas has put herself back out on the market.

The jilted suitor first announced the not-so-surprising news (did anyone really expect it was going to last?) through the couple’s joint website. In a now-deleted video, Csincsak said Pappas put it quite simply: “I love you, but I’m not in love with you.”

DeAnna explained to In Touch that the May 2009 nuptials were canceled once her reality show googles were removed. “I really felt like I was going to spend the rest of my life with him. I thought he was my fairy-tale ending. But after the show was over and we settled in to our normal lives, I slowly came to realize that we are two totally different people and it wasn’t going to work out.”

Unfortunately for the real estate agent, Jason Mesnick - the man many thought she should have picked - is no longer waiting in the wings. Starting January 5, the single father will officially become ABC’s 13th Bachelor.
