Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass in Dancing with the Stars

We’re still weeks away from the premiere of , yet the drama may have already begun. According to the New York Post, female veterans of the reality hit are reportedly jealous of a particular competitor.

For the show’s seventh season, DWTS followers will see three new professionals on the parquet floor: Inna Brayer, Corky Ballas (Mark Ballas’ father) and Lacey Schwimmer. Unfortunately for Schwimmer, her debut has supposedly been spoiled by a few cold colleagues.

An insider claims Lacey’s assigned partner is the reason why dancers Cheryl Burke and Julianne Hough have been keeping their distance. The source says the two ladies are upset that the former So You Think You Can Dance contestant has been paired with Lance Bass, apparently the best male amateur in the bunch.

And while I could see a competitive streak in Burke, this story really doesn’t make any sense to me. I mean - didn’t Hough come in and snag the mirror ball trophy on her very first season? If anyone it should be hated, it should be that sickeningly gorgeous two-time winner.

But in the event the rumors are true, I’ll be sure to watch for any stray daggers. I’m always on the lookout for the eye rolls anyway…
