Dustin Diamond Makes Another Desperate Grasp for Fame
Sometimes, even a sex tape, a blow-up on Celebrity Fit Club and lots of interviews about both isn’t enough to help once-loved celebs grab the brass ring a second time around. For reasons known only to him, Dustin Diamond has decided to pen a tell-all book about - get this - kid-friendly show and former NBC darling Saved By the Bell.
Diamond, by the way, is better known to Bell fans as nerdy Screech Powers. His book, Behind the Bell, will reveal all those secrets that sitcom fans have been longing for since the show - and its two successive spin-offs - was canceled. Yeah, right.
Read More Interestingly, the book contains a great deal of speculation rather than fact. Diamond claims to have smelled questionable smoke while on set and stated his belief that star Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris) used steroids. He also talks about female stars visiting male stars in their dressing rooms - though Diamond can only speculate about what went on inside. Gee…sounds like really interesting reading.
