Padma Lakshmi

It’s time once again to congratulate those celebrities entering into parenthood:

Padma Lakshmi: There’s something in the water in that Top Chef kitchen. Back on August 1, judge Tom Colicchio’s wife delivered a baby boy. Now Padma is expecting a child of her own. The pregnancy is being considered a near “medical miracle” for the long-time endometriosis sufferer. (Lakshmi is actually a co-founder of Endometriosis Foundation of America.) Because of her “delicate” condition, her rep has asked the media “to respect Ms. Lakshmi’s privacy at this time.” The identity of the baby’s father is unknown.

Will Ferrell: There will soon be more kicking and screaming in the comedian’s household. Early next year, Ferrell and his wife, Viveca Paulin, will be adding another boy to the family. (Magnus, 5 ½, and Mattias, 2 ½ are their current little men.) No word at this time whether an M-lettered name will be given to the third.

Jon Cryer: The Two and a Half Men star has brought home a baby and an Emmy in less than two months. On August 11, Cryer and his wife, Lisa Joyner, added a half lady to the family. The adopted girl named Daisy is the first child for the couple. Jon also has a 9-year-old son from an earlier marriage.

Ione Skye: On August 24, the Say Anything actress was saying a lot to musician husband Ben Lee. That was when the two became parents to Goldie Priya Lee, their first child together. Ione is also a mother to Kate, an 8-year-old from a previous relationship.

Julie Chen: The Big Brother host is now the mother of a potential future brother. On September 24, Chen and her husband, CBS head Les Moonves, welcomed Charlie Moonves, their first child together. Les already has three other kids from a previous marriage.

Ellen Pompeo: There’s a little less room in the Grey’s Anatomy daycare these days. Just over a week after Katherine Heigl introduced her new daughter, Ellen Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery said hello to a little girl. Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery is the couple’s first child.

Eric Dane: Speaking of Grey‘s stars, Dr. McSteamy is apparently on his way to becoming a McDaddy. The actor and his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, are believed to be expecting a child. (The growing baby bump has been hard to ignore.) The two have married since 2004.

Jude Law: The sex of the Sherlock Holmes star’s newest baby is no longer a mystery. Late last month, Samantha Burke gave birth to Sophia, Jude Law’s fourth child. Although the model and the actor only briefly dated, Law - who has three other children with ex-wife Sadie Frost - claims he will be “fully supportive” in his child’s life.
