In less than a day, British punkster Lily Allen managed to shock both fans and press several times at Glamour‘s Women of the Year Awards, including a much talked-about quick departure due to her intoxication.
First there was the hair. Having just gone from dark to light, no one expected Lily to quickly change to an extreme pink! To be honest, while many folks slammed her fashion for the choice in hair color, I loved it! Okay, so I may be slightly biased since that is my own personal favorite hair color, but jewelry designer Tarina Tarantino and pop rebel Pink have both successfully pulled it off—why can’t Lily?
Read More Then there was the dress. Looking as if she just stepped foot out of a high school prom, a closer look at Lily’s dress revealed something quite morbid: prints of Disney’s classic and beloved Bambi, bleeding from a slit throat decorated Allen’s gown.
Finally, perhaps due to grabbing the Editor’s Special Award for the night, the singer partied a little too hard and was eventually escorted out by a bodyguard. Never one to concede to embarrassment, Allen posted a picture of her exit on her MySpace, advising her fans: “Kids, drink responsibly or you’ll end up looking like this, not pretty!”
While she has always been one to appear in the tabloids for something or other she comments on, one has to admit that having a miscarriage is a traumatizing experience that would explain a lot lately, although that is not to say that it is an excuse she can easily use. Either way, let’s hope that this doesn’t quite mark the beginning of another Britney Spears story.

I liked her hair, i wished to see her face clearly with that colored hair, Kane as you said , her hair color may not the primary reason but her in-toxication can be considered as a primary reason of getting shocked.

Here’s a cute pre-alcoholic picture: http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/20080603/293.allen.lily.060308.jpg
And yeah, I realize that people were more shocked because of that, but pulling pink hair (most people thought it was a wig) at an event is shocking as well. Just.. not as shocking, you know?
Well, I’m glad someone else liked her pink hair! :D
