Lynne Spears Book Sure to Create a Storm

What is it like to parent one of the biggest stars in the world? What secrets could Britney Spears still have that the world doesn’t know? What is it like to be behind-the-scenes of celebrity stardom? If you want to know, you have to read the new book being offered by Lynne Spears - but get your copy quick. With the hype that’s being drummed up for the volume, it’s likely to sell out in the very first hour.
Lynne Spears, mother to pop culture icons Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears, snagged a book deal many, many months ago. She was going to pen a parenting manual titled Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, which was going to debut - get this - on Mother’s Day of 2008.
Read More When news broke that Zoey 101 star Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, was pregnant and unmarried, the publishers “postponed the book indefinitely.” It’s not likely many parents would want to take Lynne’s advice after that little scandal, and the publishers were savvy enough to see it. That happened around Christmastime of 2007. In August, news was released that the Spears book would hit shelves September 16 - this time with a new title and a new message. Now it’s named Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World. At this time, Barnes & Noble said of the book that “the stories Lynne shares reveal the heart of a mother who struggles to keep faith at the center of her life through its many unexpected twists and serendipitous turns.” Now, the date of the book’s release has drawn much closer, and other sources aren’t painting the book in such a rosy light. According to reports which allegedly stem from a leaked copy of the book, the tome is really a tell-all that reveals some of the darkest secrets from the life of Britney Spears, international star. Sources say that the book reveals when Britney Spears really lost her virginity (and to whom) and claims she became hooked on drugs at the tender age of fifteen, though she’d been drinking from age thirteen. Lynne Spears and her daughter Britney are currently estranged, and have been since the collapse of Britney’s marriage to Kevin Federline. The two wrote a book together in 2001.
