Miley Cyrus Admits Dating Nick Jonas

Now that rumors of a romance between Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez have surfaced, Miley Cyrus has suspiciously decided to speak out her two year relationship with the boy bander. It’s the first time she has even acknowledged dating him.
In the September issue of Seventeen, the singer pulls a Jessica Simpson and talks about the love the two used to share. (Oh dear - these two are only 15. What they heck do they really know about love?)
“Nick and I loved each other. We still do, but we were in love with each other. For two years he was basically my 24/7. But it was really hard to keep it from people. We were arguing a lot, and it really wasn’t fun.”
Read More And while some may find this hard to believe, celebrities apparently have a hard time dealing with everyday breakups as well. According to Miley, her split from Nick at the end of 2007 made her a bit emotional. “At first I bawled for a month straight. I was so sad. I just went into this weird funk. And I dyed my hair black. When we were dating, Nick wanted me to get highlights – and so I did that, and I got myself looking great. And then, on the day we broke up, I was like, I want to make my hair black now – I don’t want to look pretty; I want to look hard-core. I was rebelling against everything Nick wanted me to be. And then I was like, I’ve got to be by myself for now, and just figure out who I really am.” So what does Miley think of her former beau now? Well, it seems the teen star hasn’t completely written him off. “Maybe he’ll be my best friend for the rest of my life or maybe I’ll end up marrying Nick Jonas!” I guess it’s safe to say her rivalry with Selena Gomez won’t be ending anytime soon.

Good for her. She finally is realizing that Disney shouldn’t be dictating who she can see and date. I agree that she and Nick were too young to be serious, but teens frequently take love more seriously than they need to. It’s a new feeling for them and it’s up to the parents to help them deal with it. I like her parents but I think they should pay closer attention to her and insure she makes the right moves in her life.
