According to People, actors Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have officially split up. This surprising news comes approximately two years after the former Rendition costars started dating. No reason was provided by the magazine’s source.

Although their relationship did have its rough patches, many thought this Hollywood romance would go the distance. Earlier this year in Elle magazine, the 33-year-old Four Christmases star was still praising Jake. ““He’s fabulous. He really is a fantastic guy,” Reese declared.
