After approximately three years together, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have called it quits.

The singer and the TV personality started dating in 2006, the same year Lachey’s divorce from Jessica Simpson was finalized. Nick and Vanessa later moved into their own place in April 2007.

Although tabloids had been whispering recently about a possible split, Minnillo denied any problems. “There will always be rumblings and rumors that we’ve broken up, but in fact, it’s very much still on – and it keeps on getting better,” she told People.

According to a statement released today, the two supposedly ended on good terms. “They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another,” Vanessa’s rep stated.
