Elton John and Lily Allen

UPDATE: You can read Lily’s version of the evening on her MySpace page.

These days, telling people Lily Allen had a drunken night is like telling people Amy Winehouse is still on drugs. The news is kind of expected.

But last night in London, a surprising thing happened to Lily. Not only were her boozing ways called out—they were spotlighted in a very public forum.

While emceeing Britain’s version of the GQ Men of the Year Awards, the 23-year-old was rarely seen without a champagne glass wrapped tightly in her hands. This sad behavior (coupled with her slurred words and F-bombs) bothered Elton John so much, the co-host eventually let her know it. What followed was a very tense and nasty exchange between the two musicians.

Josh HartnettNote to actors: Always know where your cameras are.

According to a British newspaper, American star recently became the subject of the closed-circuit spotlight.

During his stay at the Soho, the actor reportedly “entertained” a group of employees when he brought a mystery woman back to his hotel. The couple somehow managed to miss Hartnett’s suite altogether and opted to take their private matters into the library. Although the curtains were closed, the two were left fully exposed to the room’s cameras.

“This means their every spit and cough was recorded, and cringing hotel workers saw all of Josh’s X-rated moves,” said the Daily Mirror source.

Cue the violins.

In Diddy Blog #12 ("Gas Prices are Too Mother F***in High"), the entertainment mogul talks about his fight against global warming shrinking pocketbook.

Faced with ridiculous fuel prices, is now being forced to fly...wait for it....commercial. (He also claims to be flying coach, though I think the seat he winds up in is far nicer than anything I’ve ever planted my butt on.)

Well - if the businessman continues to plug American Airlines, maybe he can at least earn himself one of those celebrity discounts.

Today, Heidi Montag used her personal website to share her latest project with us.

For her second music video, the reality star tries her best to impersonate an 80’s aerobics instructor. Unfortunately, she lacks the vocal coordination to be Olivia Newton-John and the physical coordination to be Jane Fonda.

The best part? The debut of ”Overdosin’” experienced it’s share of technical glitches. The clip below loses sound at around at the 3:50 mark...but that, thankfully, spares us from having to listen to the full 10-minute clip.

And I thought her beach video looked cheap.

Saturday night in Wales, 40,000 ticket buyers got the first chance to see Britney Spears’ latest collaboration with Madonna.

Although the teen star’s Sticky & Sweet contribution was limited to a video-only appearance, her work for the song “Human Nature” made a comeback seem entirely possible.

Make sure to watch the whole video for a special Britney message at the end.

Hilary Duff and Mike ComrieCan you believe how quickly time has flown by? It seems just like yesterday that and were still an item. Now, the Good Charlotte musician is celebrating parenthood with Nicole Richie. Meanwhile, Duff might have a bit of celebrating of her own to do.

Based on appearances Friday night, it looks like rumors about the pop star’s engagement might actually be true. Hilary, who was out with her Canadian hockey player beau, was spotted outside Il Sole with an interesting piece of bling on her ring finger.

When asked directly about a possible betrothal, the 20-year-old simply smiled while trying to dodge the photographers’ questions. (You can see that video after the jump.) Mike Comrie, 27, didn’t attempt to clear the matter up either.

All I can say is - thank God she (and Lindsay) both moved on from . Does anyone even remember why those two even liked him to begin with?

Paris fights back at McCain's ad

John McCain and Barack Obama have taken on many issues, policies, and politicians in their day, yet I’m not sure that they can handle what has come next for them. In fact, they just might want to team up to take on this very powerful common enemy that has ostentatiously made herself known: Paris Hilton.

The infamous heiress recently released a spoof video (seen after the jump) as a response to John McCain’s recent political ad, in which Paris makes an unauthorized appearance. I would, too, if my family donated a few million dollars to his campaign and my face ended up in his commercial without my consent!

In the video, Paris pokes fun of the “wrinkly” senator as well as his opponent and herself, suggesting that she run for president and paint the White House pink, among other things.

Earlier this month, we introduced you to Ali Lohan’s new single. Now we’re getting our first look at the video for ‘All the Way Around.’

While the video does a good job of making the reality star look far more wholesome than her bigger sister, I’m confused as why this was constructed with clips found on ’s editing floor. Seriously - if I wanted to see more Dina Lohan, I’d actually watch the show.

John McCain, Barack Obama

Politicians are not celebrities. Celebrities are not politicians. ...Or, are they? The fur is really starting to fly in the election. Presidential candidate has likened to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Rappers who support Obama have released tracks dissing John McCain. What happens when politics and celebrity mix? Nothing good.

In one of his political ads, McCain seems to be trying to undermine Obama as a presidential contender - calling him a star instead of the vehicle of change Obama claims to be. It isn’t odd for politicians to use celebrities to further their own cause, and it isn’t even odd for celebrities to decide to become politicians.

So maybe it’s even the norm for celebrities and politics to mix…but should they? Sometimes, celebs can do much more harm than good when they back a certain candidate.

Given the news about Shia LaBeouf’s recent DUI, this interview he gave back in May really doesn’t seem that funny.

On Late Night with David Letterman, the 22-year-old promoted Indiana Jones and gave a detailed explanation for his drunken arrest at a Chicago Walgreen’s. While the actor did admit to being “a moron,” he also lovingly referred to alcohol as “special magic sauce.”

When asked what he learned about his run-in with the law, LaBeouf eerily said: “Drinking and driving is one thing, but drinking and shopping...it’s just as bad.”
