Mariah Carey Not Above Accepting Gifts

Even though Mariah Carey didn’t send out invites to her recent hush hush wedding, the diva is definitely not one who forgets her friends.

According to the New York Post, the singer wants to make sure everyone has had a chance to congratulate her and Nick Cannon on their questionable nuptials.

Those wondering if the newlyweds have the proper furnishings to fill Mariah’s massive home can find all their needs in one convenient place. According to a source, Carey’s assistant has already sent out over a 100 emails letting people know where they can purchase belated wedding gifts (Bergdorf Goodman). Requested items reportedly include expensive china and stemware.

Oh, I get it now. Her friends couldn’t celebrate with them earlier because they simply didn’t have the proper plates until now. Totally understandable.

Jessica Alba Weds Cash Warren

While the media was focusing its attention on Ashlee Simpson’s recent nuptials, another celebrity was planning her own private wedding. People has exclusively confirmed that actress Jessica Alba, 27, is now a married woman as well.

According to star’s rep, Jessica and her fiance, 31-year-old Cash Warren, were wed yesterday afternoon. After waiting at the Beverly Hills courthouse for marriage license, the casually-dressed couple then chose to exchange vows in the building’s ceremony room. A staff employee performed the service; no other guests were in attendance.

The newlyweds - who met on the set of the first Fantastic Four movie - are expecting a child sometime this summer.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson Officially Wed

With help from papa Joe, Ashlee Simpson and fiance Pete Wentz officially wrapped up their shotgun nuptials this weekend in Los Angeles.

The two musicians, who have been dating since late 2006, announced their engagement just over a month ago. Since that time, numerous sites have reported that the new couple is expecting. Even though no official pregnancy rumors have been confirmed, the wedding’s timing does seem quite suspect.

While I’m sure this is not how Joe Simpson planned on becoming grandfather, he apparently approved the pairing; the patriarch was the officiant for the non-denominational ceremony.

And while Ashlee’s wedding day should have been the focus this Saturday, her sister may have possibly stolen the media spotlight. Although its believed Jessica Simpson is now once again single, Tony Romo was nice enough to escort her to the event. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see when their honeymoon period ends.

Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi Plan to Wed

Although most Hollywood celebrities seem to be leaning toward divorce these days, Ellen Degeneres has decided to change things up a bit.

In light of California’s recent decision on gay marriage, the 50-year-old talk show host announced that she and her partner intend to wed. She revealed the happy news to her audience in today’s episode of her program. Portia de Rossi, Degeneres’ girlfriend since 2004, was in the audience at the time.

Finally.  The newlyweds have left the Bahamas and shown us what they look like as a couple.

While I’ll admit Mariah Carey, 38, and Nick Cannon, 27, look happy...I’m still having a hard time believing they’re actually married.  If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought they were out on a very nice prom date.

Right now crews from Entertainment Tonight and The Insider are somewhere out there trying to get this story straight....

Depending on who you choose to believe, singers Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are either just dating, engaged or already married.  Although the two have been spotted together in the past several weeks, the ‘couple’ has artfully dodged any dating rumors.  Then last Saturday, Mariah appeared at an after party for her new movie (Tennessee) while sporting a large rock on her ring finger.

Beyonce and Jay-Z Now Married

Although no official announcement has been released, all signs indicate that Beyoncé Knowles, 26, and rapper Jay-Z, 38, are now indeed married.

After the two were spotted securing a marriage license earlier this week, it was just simply a matter of when.  The couple’s decision to wed on Friday night (4/4) may have been a matter of the date’s significance.  She was born on September 4th; he on December 4th.

According to online reports, the musicians apparently had a small private ceremony earlier in the evening before a much bigger bash that night.  (Tents erected on the roof of Shawn Carter’s Tribeca apartment building indicated something was going to happen.) Several celebrities - including the girls from Destiny’s Child and Gwyneth Paltrow - were also seen in the area.

Well, until they come out and fully admit the news - I’m going to go ahead and congratulate them anyway.  Cheers!

Gary Coleman on His Sexless Marriage

A few days ago, we told you about actor Gary Coleman‘s secret marriage.  The Diff’rent Strokes star, 40, married Shannon Price, 22, last August after meeting her on a film set.

Aside from their obvious age and height differences, there were two things particularly noteworthy about their union.  Not only is this Coleman’s first ‘romantic’ relationship ever, it’s apparently one filled with anger issues.

Well - it seems there’s one more interesting huh?-fact that’ll trump those others:  it’s never been consummated.

In an interview with The Insider, Coleman (for some reason) admits that - even after more than a year together - their marriage remains sexless.

“It’ll happen when it will happen.  And it will happen for all the right reasons.”

Well, I would have thought marriage would have been a good excuse....but I guess it could always wait until the anniversary.

Gary Coleman-Married Man!

Put away the wedding gown ladies.  Gary Coleman is now a married man!

According to People magazine Coleman, 40, married Shannon Price, last August 28...on her 22nd birthday!

The nuptials took place “on a mountaintop”, according to the Diff’rent Strokes star.  “Nobody was around but the minister, preacher, the videographers, the photographer, the helicopter pilot and us. That was all that was there. There was nobody else.”

Coleman, who met his bride on the set of their movie Church Ball, tells People that it is also his first ever romantic relationship.  “I never got the opportunity to be romantic or feel romantic with anyone,” he says. “I wasn’t saving myself, she just happened to be the one.” (Oh, how sweet!)

Coleman however, does admit that things aren’t always kisses and sweet talk between them. He says that sometimes after an argument, they can go a whole week without speaking while she claims, “he lets his anger conquer him sometimes. … He throws things around, and sometimes he throws it in my direction.” She adds, “I don’t like the violence.”

Neither of them, however, have any issues with the age difference.

Well, as they say, diff’rent strokes for VERY different folks!
