Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie decided to get married because of her work with the United Nations. Apparently the couple feared she may not survive a dangerous new mission with the UN helping to battle drug lords.
The mother of six adopted and biological children, who is a goodwill ambassador for the UNHCR refugee organization, will be involved when the UN launches a fresh war on South American crime bosses. "Brad's terrified something bad will happen to her. It's why he wanted to cement things with a wedding," a source told The Sun.
Earlier this year Angelina wrote a farewell letter to her fiance Brad after becoming scared for her life on a UN mission. "I wrote a note to Brad and figured if anything happens he'll find it. They gave me a briefing and they said everybody needs to write down their blood type," she said.
The couple - who met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005 - have kids Knox, Vivienne, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara and Maddox together. They announced their plans for a wedding last month.

Celebrities have praised Barack Obama after he announced he supports gay marriage. The president revealed in a new interview that he had changed his mind about same-sex couples legally commiting.
"There have been times where Michelle and I have been sitting around the dinner table and we're talking about their friends and their parents and Malia and Sasha, it wouldn't dawn on them that somehow their friends' parents would be treated differently. It doesn't make sense to them and frankly, that's the kind of thing that prompts a change in perspective," he said in an interview with ABC News.

The Gossip singer Beth Ditto is getting married next year. The openly-lesbian rocker is engaged to her partner Kristen and the pair are planning to tie the knot in Hawaii in June 2013.
Beth - who is currently in London promoting the band's new album A Joyful Noise and has been joined by Kristen for the trip - exclusively told BANG Showbiz, "I'm getting married next year to my partner Kristen in June. She might be somewhere here, in the hotel, walking around. I'm doing it in Hawaii because my girlfriend is from there."
However, one potential guest, The Gossip's female manager, wants the couple to say their vows in April because she can't make the June date but Beth won't be swayed. "I'm not getting married in April because it's the raining season there!" the 31 year-old musician said, laughing.
Beth's bandmates Brace Paine and Hannah Blilie are both thrilled for the couple and can't wait for the nuptials. "It's gonna be great," Hannah said.

Bobby Brown to Marry in Hawaii Next Month

Bobby Brown will marry in Hawaii on the weekend of June 15th. The New Edition musician and his fiancee Alicia Etheridge - who have been engaged for two years and have a son Cassius, who will turn three later this month - will tie the knot in Honolulu on the same weekend he performs on the island with his band.
According to gossip website TMZ, Bobby will also fly out some of his family and friends to witness the ceremony he has dubbed his "big day."
It is doubtful whether his estranged daughter Bobbi Kristina, 19 - his only child with former wife Whitney Houston - will attend.
Although Bobby has been engaged to Alicia for two years, it was recently claimed he and Whitney - who died in a Beverly Hills hotel room in February - had been planning to remarry in an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas with Bobbi Kristina as their only witness.

Julie Benz has gotten married.
The Dexter actress tied the knot with marketing executive Rich Orosco at the historic John Sowden house in the Los Feliz neighbourhood of Los Angeles on Saturday. The ceremony honored the groom's Mexican heritage by taking place on the country's Cinco de May (May 5) holiday, and a number of the couple's family and friends were in attendance.
Julie and Rich's nuptials come after the 39-year-old hunk proposed last June with a Kwiat cushion-cut diamond ring, and the actress - who appeared in Dexter from 2006 to 2010 - described the proposal as "absolutely perfect." The pair enjoyed a "pop-up Mexican fiesta" engagement party arranged by Rich last June for 60 of the couple's friends and family - and Julie later admitted she was shocked that none of her pals had accidentally spoiled the surprise.
"I can't believe that none of my friends leaked the surprise. It was like a Navy Seal operation," she said, following the party.
Helena Bonham Carter is Too Lazy to Wed

Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton are too "lazy" to get married. The couple - who have been together 11 years and have children Billy, eight, and four-year-old Nell - famously live in adjoining houses because they need space from one another, though the actress insists this doesn't mean their relationship isn't serious.
"We're not [married], actually. Not through any kind of ... Through laziness, really. Our houses are married. It is very good to have. You definitely need your space," she said.
Helena and Tim have worked on seven movies together and the 45-year-old actress thinks it is important that she gets to see him work otherwise she would worry about the filmmaker's stress levels and unhappiness when he came home in the evenings: "He is very stressed. Directors are. The stress level - it's a battle. I mean everything that can go wrong goes wrong. But then again, what's great about working with Tim - when you're involved with him - is that I get to see that on set, he's having fun. But if I didn't get to go on set, I'd think he was suicidal for six months. I love seeing him work. It's a really good thing. It's very healthy to do, every so often."

Angelina Jolie reportedly wants to gain 10lbs before her wedding.
The svelte actress is set to tie the knot with her partner of seven years Brad Pitt this summer and is keen to put on a bit of weight as she wants some curves to fill out her dress. So she and Brad - who raise six children together - have reportedly asked British chef Jamie Oliver to give her recipes for hearty yet healthy meals.
"Angelina has decided she'd like a more shapely figure when she weds Brad and is hoping to gain ten pounds. Brad and Angie have asked Jamie to suggest some recipe ideas for them. Angie never cooks so Brad's now knocking up some English dishes like shepherd's pie and sausage and mash," a source told The Daily Star.
Brad is also keen for Angelina to gain a few pounds as he prefers her when she has a curvier figure. "Bad would love her to have curves like she did when they met on Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004. Jamie has been to Brad and Ange's home numerous times. They have a similar sense of humor and are all down to earth," the source added.

Jennifer Lopez wants to marry her boyfriend Casper Smart. The 42-year-old singer is thought to be ready for a fourth trip down the aisle after announcing she was parting ways with Marc Anthony last July.
"She's telling friends she wants to marry Casper. She's certain she wants to be with Casper forever," a source said.
At a press conference on Monday to announce her upcoming world tour with Enrique Iglesias and Wisin Y Yandel, Jennifer announced her partner of six months will play a vital part in putting the show together: "I'm working with [choreographer] Jamie King, and also Casper Smart. It's going to be an amazing, amazing show." She added that the event will be "one of the most historic tours ever."
"There's never been something like this, where Latinos come together like this. It's international - English and Spanish. I just think it's very groundbreaking. I was honored to be asked to be a part of it," she added.

Brad Pitt is taking charge of his wedding to Angelina Jolie. The Moneyball actor is set to wed the Oscar-winning actress - with whom he raises six children with - this summer at their home in the South of France, and he is getting involved in every aspect of the big day as he wants the nuptials to be perfect.
"Brad's been doing extensive renovation on the house and is using a specialist in chateau restoration. Brad's spent over $16 million already. Now he's offering hefty bonuses to workers to complete it by summer. He's even trying to organize an aeroplane landing site in the grounds for guests to come in by private jet - but that's proving rather tricky, what with permits and no-fly zones," a source said.
Brad wants all the food and drink for the reception to be locally produced and has been very involved with the menu. "Brad's been asking all the locals if they'll be able to source produce from the local area for the reception. It's certainly going to be a moment in local history. Brad's been tasting and looking up French dishes for weeks. He wants the perfect menu and, of course, the perfect wine to accompany it. That is all going to be locally sourced, too," the source added to Grazia.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West "are talking marriage."
The couple, who went public with their romance last month (April) are apparently "very serious" about making a commitment to each other and are ready to pick out rings.
A source told Us Weekly that the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star and the "Watch The Throne" rapper - who were friends for many years before they began dating - are more sure than ever about their relationship. Kim will even be joining the Grammy winner on his summer tour with Jay-Z.
"She wants to be with him as much as possible. They really know and love each other," the insider said.
Over the weekend, the 31-year-old reality TV regular jetted back from Washington, DC, where she was a guest at the White House Correspondents' Dinner Saturday, to be by Kanye's side for a Sunday performance of Broadway's Wicked musical.
