Maybe abandoning Twitter was the best thing Miley Cyrus could have done.

In a recent poll conducted by Just So You Know, the 16-year-old superstar was crowned the “Worst Celeb Influence” of 2009. Miley’s “win” comes after another long year of controversy. When she wasn’t offending Asians, she was either dating a 20-year-old or pole dancing on national television.

Taking some tips from her big sister, Miley Cyrus, Noah Cyrus stirred up controversy over her Halloween costume, prompting Disney Girl to prohibit the photos’ publication.

Attending Jamie Lee Curtis’s Dream Halloween this past weekend, 9 year-old Cyrus showed up in a tight-fitting mini dress with knee-high leather boots. To top that off, dark eye makeup and red lipstick were applied to her small face.

We all knew that John Mayer was fairly obsessed with Twitter—this is the guy who told us that his penis fell asleep. Who knew that he’d let this obsession get to his head so much that he feels the need to offer advice to everyone?

Seeming to have gained insight into the mind of a 16 year-old icon due to his affinity for Twitter, Mayer commented on Miley Cyrus’s departure from the social networking site: “She’s smart enough to realize there is some interference of the brain that she doesn’t want to deal with… I think if you’re in Miley’s situation, it might take a little too much time to play goalie for your own heart and mind.”

Although she stumped fans earlier this week by suddenly closing her Twitter account, insists it has nothing to do with her reported boyfriend.

On Thursday, the Last Song actress posted one final tweet before kissing the social site goodbye. “FYI Liam doesn’t have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason,” the 16-year-old wrote.

Miley Cyrus Blasts the Paparazzi

Miley Cyrus hides her face from the paparazziTeenage phenomenon Miley Cyrus claims that her life is being ruined by the paparazzi.

The Hannah Montana singer has blasted photographers who follow her everywhere and has branded the profession “disgusting.”

The 16-year-old singer wrote on her Twitter page, “Being a paparazzi is the most DISGUISTING job imaginable. Being followed around by creepy photographers is NOT in the job description! YOU try being stuck inside cuz creepers are waiting for u. [sic]”

In reply to her comments gossip blogger Perez Hilton defended photographers, saying: “But some of them are your friends! You’re always chummy with that one videographer!”

Miley, who has sold over four million records, has previously revealed she has bad dreams about being photographed: “I have nightmares about paparazzi. I always have these flashing things in my dreams. They’re so scary.”

She may spend a lot of time on her various Internet accounts, but fans shouldn’t read too hard into what writes.

“I’m the queen of corny quotes. I Google love quotes, happy quotes, sad quotes, I just like quotes. I don’t want to write, ‘I’m eating a cookie.’ I think that could be used for so much more,” the 16-year-old said.

Although recent tweets have sparked rumors that she has rekindled her romance with underwear model , the young star insists she is too busy focusing on her career to commit to a relationship. “There are a lot of people I’m supposedly dating these days. But I’m just kicking it right now, I don’t really have time for a huge relationship. There’s no dude,” she said.

Who’s Liam Hemsworth? Why he’s an Aussie has had the fortunate opportunity to kiss in her upcoming film…and at the airport in Nashville. The actor stars opposite the 16-year-old in The Last Song, a movie based on a story by Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook).

Although Miley has denied having a boyfriend, she has not explained the story behind this very public smooch. Maybe that’s just how they say goodbye in Australia?

When asked about Miley Cyrus‘s provocative performance (the 16 year-old jumped on top of an ice cream cart, where she danced with the pole attached to it), her dad saw it all as part of the business.

“You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people. She loves singing [and] songwriting. I always tell her to love what you’re doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinions.”
