Amy Winehouse’s Miraculous Progress

Amy Winehouse has made a “miraculous” recovery from her addictions.
The singer’s father Mitch Winehouse is delighted with his daughter’s progress as she battles her drug and alcohol problems and believes she should be given more credit for her hard work. “She’s doing fantastic and I don’t think enough credit is given to her about what she’s achieved over the last year. It’s been nothing short of miraculous,” he told Heat magazine.
The “Back to Black” singer - who spent several months earlier this year living on the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia - has just spent $59,000 on a breast enlargement operation, which Mitch claims was a way of her getting some control of her life. “I think she looks great, every bit of her - including the boobs,” Mitch said.
Mitch also likened his daughter - who recently divorced Blake Fielder-Civil but is rumored to have rekindled her romance with him - to Kerry Katona and Katie Price. “They all have a knack of choosing the wrong men,” he stated.

Lindsay Lohan Throws Bar Tantrum

The outlandish stories continue, sans recorded conversations: recently, Lindsay Lohan allegedly refused to pay two bottles of champagne from a Los Angeles bar.
The troubled actress was reportedly furious when she was given a bill for her drinks at The Crown Bar and stunned onlookers with a tantrum when staff insisted she settled her tab for her evening.
A source revealed, “Lindsay stormed into the kitchen and grabbed two bottles of really expensive champagne. She finished both bottles with a friend. When the bartender gave her a bill, she had a meltdown. She was yelling at him and screaming profanities at everyone. The bar insisted she pay, so she had to call a friend with her credit card information.”
The star eventually left the nightspot at 2.30am, but was still in tears over the incident: “She was crying and wanted to go home. She kept saying ‘I don’t pay for drinks! This is ridiculous! I’m freaking out!’”
Lindsay, who has previously undergone stints in a rehabilitation clinic for alcohol abuse, has caused increasing concern with her recent behavior. Her father Michael Lohan has spoken out, saying he fears she will die if she doesn’t get help for her problems: “I want my daughter off prescription medication. She never needed it in her life… I’m not going to watch my daughter die. Hate me now, but you love me more later because I’m gonna turn her life around.”

Johnny Depp once saved Courtney Love‘s life.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star had to give the Hole singer - who has a history of drink and drug abuse - the kiss of life when she collapsed after a heavy session.
“Nobody has ever loaned me money. I mean, I was going to die on a few occasions. Johnny Depp gave me CPR on one. That’s as close as I ever got. I was watching that movie where he plays Dillinger, and I was like ‘Mother f***er, I never had myself any JD except CPR,’” Love said.
Courtney - widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain - also revealed strangers gave her money following her financial difficulties earlier this year. She and her 17-year-old daughter Frances Bean are currently staying at a New York hotel while they waits for work to be completed on a nearby apartment, and she admits they’ve been treated like royalty.
She told Britain’s Style magazine: “They are the best staff in the world. When my bank account got frozen, we had $14.32 a week, so we lived off the kindness of strangers. The guy at the travel agency put his credit card down for the hotel. How insanely nice is that? And we are on the sixth floor. Not love nor money will buy you this floor.”
Kelly Osbourne Blames DNA

Kelly Osbourne has blamed DNA for her addiction.
The Dancing With the Stars contestant—whose father, rocker Ozzy Osbourne, has had a long-running battle with drugs and alcohol—believes that her dependence on prescription drugs is something hardwired into her genes.
Kelly, who is now drug free, told Britain’s BBC Radio 5 Live, “I don’t have any shadow of a doubt that addiction is a disease. It is in your genes. The only people in my family who don’t have that gene are my mother and my sister Amy. I consider myself lucky that I saw both sides of it. Drugs stop you from screaming on the outside, but you are still screaming on the inside. I was addicted by 16. Drugs stopped me from feeling a certain way. Some people experience euphoria, but I never felt that. They numbed me and gave me confidence. It was like a magic medicine.”
Kelly—who has been in rehab four times, most recently in January—admits that she became a recluse during her lowest points of addiction.

Jack Osbourne Still Has Desire to Drink

Jack Osbourne is still tempted by alcohol.
The Adrenalin Junkie host - who gave up drinking following a 2003 stint in rehab - sometimes considers joining in with his friends when they are out together, but manages to exercise self-control.
“Sometimes there’s the occasional desire for it. It’s usually when we’ve had a really hard day working and everyone’s sat down having a beer, it would be nice to unwind with a beer but I know what it would end up like,” he said.
Despite his own teetotal stance, Jack insists he doesn’t object to people drinking around him. “My crew has a tendency to consume ridiculous amounts of alcohol sometimes so the next day when we have to be up at five in the morning, it’s just hilarious to see everyone so hungover,” Osbourne added. “I’m pretty sympathetic, I will make fun of them though, like, hit them on the head.”
Drugs Cost Amy Winehouse Bond Job
Amy Winehouse was too high on drugs to record a proposed James Bond theme song.
The “Rehab” singer - who teamed up with producer Mark Ronson for the Quantum of Solace title track in 2008 - allegedly ruined the collaboration by partying too hard at the recording studio. Amy’s estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “It just turned into an excuse for a wild drink and drugs party. She wasn’t concentrating on work.”

Transformers Director Rushes to Shia LaBeouf’s Defense

As we reported earlier, Transformers 2 star Shia LaBeouf may not be at fault for the accident he found himself in early Sunday morning, but he is still facing DUI charges.
Seeing as the powers that be apparently don’t want to see Shia turn out like his fellow Disney stars (i.e. Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears), it appears as if his blockbuster-making pal, Michael Bay, has come to his rescue!
The Transformers director adamantly insists that his beloved actor was not intoxicated that night:
“He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before… We had a little heart to heart the week before when he bought a brand new motorcycle. I [said], ‘Dude! You cannot ride that motorcycle! If you crash, you put 1,500 people out of work.’ He said, ‘Ok, I won’t ride it, I won’t ride it. I’ll just drive my truck’.”

Shia LaBeouf Talks About Being Wasted

Given the news about Shia LaBeouf’s recent DUI, this interview he gave back in May really doesn’t seem that funny.
On Late Night with David Letterman, the 22-year-old promoted Indiana Jones and gave a detailed explanation for his drunken arrest at a Chicago Walgreen’s. While the actor did admit to being “a moron,” he also lovingly referred to alcohol as “special magic sauce.”
When asked what he learned about his run-in with the law, LaBeouf eerily said: “Drinking and driving is one thing, but drinking and shopping…it’s just as bad.”

Shia LaBeouf Involved in DUI Accident

Young Hollywood’s troubles continue as yet another one is arrested for DUI.
No stranger to poor decisions himself, Disney favorite Shia LaBeouf will have to put filming the Transformers sequel on hold, as he is being kept at Cedars Sinai Medical Center for an injured left hand, as well as being charged for a DUI.
Officials confirm that the accident occurred early Sunday morning in Hollywood. LaBeouf was making a left turn when his vehicle collided into another; his left hand will require surgery as the other two women involved suffered minor injuries.

In less than a day, British punkster Lily Allen managed to shock both fans and press several times at Glamour‘s Women of the Year Awards, including a much talked-about quick departure due to her intoxication.
First there was the hair. Having just gone from dark to light, no one expected Lily to quickly change to an extreme pink! To be honest, while many folks slammed her fashion for the choice in hair color, I loved it! Okay, so I may be slightly biased since that is my own personal favorite hair color, but jewelry designer Tarina Tarantino and pop rebel Pink have both successfully pulled it off—why can’t Lily?
