Marilyn Monroe Crypt

Richard Poncher’s former crypt is quickly becoming the most famous burial spot in the country…at least, it could well be the most expensive. You see, Poncher was formerly laid to rest just above the grave belonging to . The crypt is located in Beverly Hills at the Westwood Village Memorial Park, specifically in the Corridor of Memories Mausoleum.

Poncher’s widow put the tomb on the market, ostensibly to earn money to pay a $1.6 million mortgage. The housing market being what it is, this was a genius idea. Property values on homes are falling, so just sell off an entirely different type of real estate.

Win a Meeting with Miley Cyrus

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Music, Television

Miley CyrusIn an attempt to raise money for her family’s charity (and probably sound good PR for herself), is auctioning off a “meet and greet” with her at an upcoming red carpet event.

The person who bids the most money for the Pappy Cyrus Family Foundation - an organization that supports underprivileged children - will have the opportunity to join the singer at the November premiere of Bolt, an animated Disney film Cyrus is a part of. The bidding, which began last night and ends July 29, currently stands at just over $2000. (I believe parents paid just about that much for tickets to her last concert tour.)

Other items up for grabs in the eBay auction include clothing actually worn by the star and autographed posters and cds. You can learn more about the fundraiser from Miley in a video clip found after the jump.

Michael Jackson Keeps Neverland Ranch

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Sports, Legal Issues, Rumors

Michael jacksonDespite coming narrowly close to losing his Los Olivos home, has managed to stay on as owner of Neverland Ranch.

The 2500-acre property was set to go on the auction block next week due to unpaid taxes.  Luckily for Jackson, his lawyers were able to work out a private agreement that would allow him to refinance his $24.5 million debt.

It’s unclear at this point whether the singer will opt to hang on to the home or attempt to sell it on his own terms.  Michael has not actually lived on the estate since the whole 2005 child molestation scandal.

David Beckham - Victoria’s better half - is one of the parties rumored to be interested in the property.

No More Neverland for Jackson

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Music, Legal Issues

Michael Jackson's Neverland RanchUnless fallen icon can pay off a $24.5 million loan by March 19th, the infamous Neverland Ranch will be auctioned off to the public.

On top of that, it’s not just the house that’s being auctioned off—it’s everything in and on the property, according to FOXNews.com. They report that Jackson may even let the Santa Barbara estate be sold, as he has not lived there for nearly three years.

Although has been giving Michael competition for the Most Mentally Unstable Celebrity Award, Jackson is still quite the oddball who just might fight at the very end to keep his beloved ranch. Then again, it could very well go in the opposite direction by falling into the hands of a very crazed fan. Some people are even speculating that it may even be best to leave as a museum, since Jackson’s international fan base is still very strong.
