Chad Kroeger Embarrassed to Tell His Mom About Avril

The Nickleback frontman - who proposed to the Canadian singer after a whirlwind romance - has not yet introduced his mother to his future wife, and became red-faced when he had to explain they were getting married because his mom is a big fan of her music.
"You never know what your parents are going to say when you tell them you're getting married - especially when it's with someone they haven't met yet. My mom is a huge fan of Avril's, so putting her on speakerphone and telling her the news was hilarious and equally embarrassing."
The "Sk8r Boi" hitmaker has yet to even take Chad to her hometown, but he knows where she will take him when he does make it there. "I find [going back home] almost as terrifying as telling your parents you're going to tie the knot. You just never know when someone is going to come out of the woodwork with a story that's starts with, 'Let me tell you about the time...' But I know she is dying to take me to La Pizzeria to try her favorite pizza in the world," he added.

Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner have reportedly split up.
The singer and the reality TV star - who had been dating for almost two years - have decided to call time on their relationship because they couldn't agree on their future. "They decided to end their relationship. It wasn't working out, and they wanted to go their separate ways. She wanted to settle down, but he wasn't exactly ready. They had been having problems starting in the summer with her tour because she was on the road all the time. It put a strain on their relationship," a source told Life & Style.
Avril - who was previously married to Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley - recently said she would marry again as she wanted to start a family: "It's all about love and I make that my number one priority. One day I would hope to have kids and do that whole thing. Right now I'm very focused on my career, my album, my tour and naturally when that happens for me next, yeah I'll go for it."

Avril Lavigne is “very happy” with her new boyfriend Brody Jenner.
The “Girlfriend” singer started dating the reality star in February after filing for divorce from rocker Deryck Whibley last fall.
“They’re very happy together, they’re really good together. A lovely couple,” Audrina Patridge, Jenner’s co-star on The Hills, told BANG Showbiz. “I first met her a couple of years ago, and thought she was such a nice girl then. She’s still a really nice girl now, and is really very talented. She’s so great.”

Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner have had matching tattoos.
The “Girlfriend” singer and The Hills actor, who began dating in February, have decided to show their love and devotion to each other by having each other’s names etched onto their bodies.
Avril’s “Brody” inking is next to her right breast while Brody’s “Avril” tattoo is on his inner arm. “They may not have been together that long but Avril and Brody are obviously devoted to each other and these tattoos just got to show that,” a source said.

Avril Lavigne Asking for Divorce

Whispers about a possible split have just grown louder. It’s now being reported that divorce papers will be filed shortly for Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley.
Avril is said to have asked Deryck, whom she wed three years ago, to move out of their Los Angeles mansion after calling time on their relationship. “She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on,” a source told Us Weekly magazine.
The Sum 41 rocker is apparently “crushed” by his wife’s decision and was hoping to work through their problems.
Avril, 24, is so determined to distance herself from the relationship that she has decided to ditch tracks she worked on with Deryck from her upcoming album. “She is going to do new songs that don’t have his mark on them. She wants no trace of him,” a friend told the magazine.
The couple’s marriage has reportedly been in trouble for months now, with Avril often seen partying with friends without her husband. In June, Deryck went to the Los Angeles premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen alone while Avril spent a week holidaying in Saint-Tropez with pals.
Deryck, 29, was also not present when Avril showed her new clothing collection at New York Fashion Week on Monday. Whibley’s representative did not comment on the report, while Lavigne’s could not be reached.

“Punk” pop princess Avril Lavigne was recently seen partying without her husband, Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley, fueling rumors about a divorce.
Now, sources close to the couple are confirming that the Canadian pair are headed for divorce after three years of marriage.
“She wanted to get away from Deryck and have a weekend to herself,” the source revealed, when asked about Avril’s weekend trip to the Southampton.
The couple haven’t been photographed together since last December; Whibley’s solo appearance at L.A.‘s Transformers premiere (while Avril was in Saint-Tropez with girlfriends) didn’t do much to sway the gossip.
Divorce at a young age… kind of reminds me of that Britney girl Avril dislikes so much.

For someone who has lashed out about her fellow pop rivals like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and even Paris Hilton, newlywed Avril Lavigne is hypocritically following right in their footsteps by launching a fragrance line.
The 23 year old “punk”-turned-glam girl has already penned a deal with Proctor & Gamble Prestige Products, she divulges to Women’s Wear Daily: “Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone.”
No word yet as to an exact date; however, if you truly plan on purchasing the product, you can expect it in late 2009. As much as I loathe her, I can never deny how large her fan base is. There are, after all, too many confused pre-teens and misguided teenagers who would succumb to actually spending money on this. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hot Topic ended up supplying the perfume, either.
