Miley Cyrus’ Wedding on Hold

Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have postponed their wedding. The couple had originally planned to tie the knot this summer but after a series of difficulties, including Liam allegedly flirting with other women and Miley's wild partying, they have decided to work on their relationship before making the huge commitment.
"They want to figure out their life together before they get married. They're still engaged and living together. They just think that there is no rush with the wedding and that it's better that they wait a bit. They were never in a rush to get married," a source told People.
Miley's dad Billy Ray Cyrus recently admitted he doesn't know if the wedding is going ahead. When asked if they will get married, he said, "I don't know. I know as I was writing a book, I wanted to keep that particular moment [Miley's wedding] as open-ended as possible. I didn't know the answer." However, Billy Ray insists Miley, 20, and 23-year-old Liam are still "great friends." He added, "They're young, they're kids, the great news is they're great friends, they're really good friends. I play it by ear, I know whatever's meant to be that's the way it's going to happen."

“I want to put my family back together,” Billy Ray Cyrus, one-hit wonder and father to Miley Cyrus, will tell The View on Friday. “Things are the best they’ve ever been.” Thanks to the recent progress, Billy Ray will put a halt to his divorce plans and stay in his marriage (which, so far, has lasted 17 years).
“I feel like I got my Miley back, in a way,” he revealed at the Thursday taping. “I feel like we are the daddy and daughter that we were before Hannah Montana happened.” Minus a few years, some questionable photos and a salvia-smoking scandal, of course.
Billy Ray and wife Tish issued a joint statement about their disintegrating marriage in October. In a later interview with GQ, the country singer blamed Hannah Montana for “destroying” his family.
But on The View, he’ll change his tune. “I don’t think Hannah Montana ruined my family,” he backpedaled. “Now fame, fame is a different animal. You’ve got to be careful with that thing.” Or, so he’s heard.

Who knew Miley Cyrus' "Nothing to Lose" duet would be the least controversial Bret Michaels-related story her family would have to address?
According to Us Weekly, Billy Ray Cyrus' impending divorce from Tish Cyrus may have had something to do with a third party. Sources claim Tish, 43, actually had an affair with the 47-year-old rocker.
Michaels reportedly "became close to the entire family" when he started working with the teen star earlier this year. At one point, he asked Tish and her production company for help in bringing Roses & Thorns, his book, to the big screen.
"It was a professional relationship that turned into something more," an insider claimed. "Billy Ray was completely unaware of what was going on."
Reps for both Bret and Tish deny the accusations.

Divorce for Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus

There’s an achy, breaky heart ahead for Billy Ray Cyrus.
After nearly 18 years of marriage, Miley Cyrus’ dad filed for divorce yesterday from wife Tish. Those pesky “irreconcilable differences” were faulted for the move.
In the documents, the country singer asks for joint custody of their three minor kids: Miley, 17, Braison, 16 and Noah, 10.
"As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family," the couple said in a joint statement. "We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers."
Although the filing may come as a surprise to outsiders, those close to the couple are not stunned. “"It was a long time coming. It is the best thing for both of them,” an insider told E!.

In her latest video “Can’t Be Tamed,” 17 year-old Miley Cyrus provocatively dances with men who look twice her age and writhes around a bed of peacock feathers in a barely-there corset all while mimicking infamous porn star expressions. Thankfully, the former Disney starlet has little worries at home, as she claims that her father Billy Ray Cyrus “loves it.”
“I think my dad was thinking I was a little crazy while I was writing it because when you’re hearing ‘feathers coming out of your hands,’ [you think] ‘oh wow, looks crazy!’” said Cyrus.

Disney superstar Miley Cyrus is ready for marriage.
The 17-year-old star, who recently denied she is engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth after she was pictured wearing a ring on her engagement finger, has been joking to pals about the possibility of changing her name to match her 18-year-old boyfriend’s.
A source said, “Miley’s crazy in love with Liam, and keeps joking that Miley Hemsworth sounds so fancy and sophisticated. She says she can’t wait to turn 18 this year so she could do whatever she wants - even marry Liam - and no one can stop her.”
The “Party in the USA” singer, whose father is “Achy Breaky Heart” hitmaker Billy Ray Cyrus, has reportedly told her record company that she now wants to take a career break to spend more time with Liam. The source claimed she told her record company: “I just want to enjoy my life for a while.”
However, her father is warning her not to take too much time off, as she may get forgotten by the public. He is reported to have told her, “You’re only a big star for a brief amount of time, and when it’s over, it’s over.”

Finally, Papa Cyrus speaks out in regards to his daughter’s pole dancing at the Teen Choice Awards.
When asked about Miley Cyrus‘s provocative performance (the 16 year-old jumped on top of an ice cream cart, where she danced with the pole attached to it), her dad saw it all as part of the business.
“You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people. She loves singing [and] songwriting. I always tell her to love what you’re doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinions.”
Is it just me, or does it seem as if he missed that particular performance altogether?

Billy Ray Cyrus’ Creepy Nashville Star Ad

Perhaps I just can’t quite shake that disturbing father-daughter pose out of my head. Perhaps something is just a bit wrong in my head? Whatever it is, I cannot quite get over how disturbing this Billy Ray Cyrus ad appears to me.
The ad, hyping up the Hannah Montana star’s new gig hosting the talent show Nashville Star (he replaced Jewel, who is now a judge on the series), just comes off as incredibly creepy to me! I looked over at my Pandora tab, and there it was.
Am I just wanting to imagine that the girl in the bathing suit is his daughter, Miley Cyrus, intensely looking at her father as he seductively looks in return? Honestly, if you remove the boy to the left and the flags, could it not look more like a romantic getaway on the beach? Why does it have to be at the beach, where the girl is wearing barely nothing? When I think of an “All-American Summer,” I think of the park, barbecues, backyards and such—why the beach?
Okay, so maybe I just need help. I blame the tabloids!
