Kate Middleton Considering Westminster for Royal Wedding

Princess-to-be Kate Middleton was recently spotted, with a contingent of aides, coming out of London’s famed Westminster Abbey.
The centuries-old, historic building would look great in wedding photographs, hmm?
Middleton was seen late Wednesday afternoon leaving the historic site. Aides say that the engaged couple is considering a number of different venues for the nuptials, including the historic Abbey, but they haven’t made any firm decisions yet.
For almost one thousand years, Westminster Abbey has witnessed the coronations of most of the British monarchs. The famed church was also the site of Princess Diana’s memorial service. (Prince Charles and Princess Diana held their 1981 wedding at St. Paul’s Cathedral.)
Speculation is that Middleton will wed Prince Harry this March, but Palace officials say the couple may wait until summer to hold the ceremony.

Robert Pattinson Falls Back on Being English

Despite millions of screaming girls across the globe who think otherwise, Robert Pattinson says being English means he doesn’t have to worry too much about his looks.
The New Moon heartthrob claims there’s less pressure on him than his US counterparts to have a perfect appearance because British people are renowned for their bad teeth.
“I just wanted to make an American film, and I wanted to be relatively good in it. I have never pushed to do anything. As soon as you start going to the gym every day and try to look like a movie star, you’re going down a worrisome track. Being an English guy you get a lot more breaks. You’re allowed to look a little worse. It’s that thing about English teeth. Although Canadian teeth are pretty bad as well!”
Robert also admits he finds it difficult to cope with his worldwide fame: “It worries me, because the whole Twilight thing keeps getting bigger and bigger, and now it’s so big that even my own ego can’t deal with it. A certain amount of success you can mentally deal with, but there’s a point where you think, ‘Jesus Christ, what is this? I’m not that great!’ ”

As Harry Potter starlet Emma Watson fronts Burberry and increasingly becomes best buds with Karl Lagerfeld, it’s becoming more apparent that she’s pretty serious about that fashion career. The August edition of British Elle further cements her path, and holy Coco Chanel, does she look gorgeous!
Before she buckles down that path, however, she might take a slight detour and finish school: “I’m so excited. Living in London, it’s hard to be anonymous. But hopefully, on some campus somewhere, I’ll fade into the background a bit.”

Did Simon Cowell Wow Britney Spears?

“I think she was in awe of me,” Simon Cowell told the British press recently. Currently in country to work on the X-Factor, Cowell will soon be Stateside for the eighth season of American Idol. And, according to him, the reality TV contestants aren’t the only ones who seem to be overwhelmed in his very big presence.
When Britney Spears visited the show, Cowell said she was awed by him, though he admitted the statement “may be a bit egotistical.” Ego from you, Simon? Never! “She was just staring at me,” he admitted. “I said ‘touch me, I’m human,’ and I think that broke the ice.”
Cowell recently told the British media that he may not return for another season of X-Factor, though he’s been threatening the same of American Idol for years.

Lily Allen Needs a Leash For Her Dog!

Seemingly back on track with her new, tamed brunette hair color, British pop singer Lily Allen can’t seem to do everything right just yet! It seems as if the troubled tabloid target completely forgot to grab her dog leash when she went out the other day.
While I’m glad that Lily has advocated adoption at local shelters, I still don’t see why she would ever forget her poor dog’s leash—look at the dog’s poor face!
Maybe Lily simply forgot that despite her new ‘do, we’re still keeping a close watch on her. As if that awards incident wasn’t a mere month ago…

Who knew Hermione was the British version of Paris Hilton?
Although we are used to the ever-changing lives of our American celebrities, we haven’t really become accustomed to following the rituals of their U.K. counterparts. Well, when the gossip concerns one of the famous Harry Potter stars, it’s really hard to look away.
Just last week, Emma Watson was criticized in the press for supposedly associating herself with 27-year-old rocker Johnny Borrell. (Wondering who he is? He’s the lead singer of a band called Razorlight.) Although the 17-year-old actress denied dating the musician, many were hoping she would stay away from the “hell-raiser”.
One week later, Hermione Granger has now been linked to a new fella: Daniel Radcliffe. The 17-year-old actor (someone her age!) was reportedly spotted with his co-star on a Valentine’s date, of all things. After leaving a London pub, they then supposedly left in the direction of Radcliffe’s home.

Paul McCartney Makes Heather Mills a Millionaire

Come next week, Heather Mills will not just be the most-hated women in Britain, she’ll also be one of the wealthiest.
According to UK’s Daily Mail, there may finally be an end to the Paul McCartney-Heather Mills divorce saga. The two, who announced their separation back in May 2006, have been negotiating in court over the past week. The Beatle and the Dancing with the Stars contender were married back in June 2002.
The Mail claims Mills is expected to receive a $110 million settlement. That figure is based on $40 million lump sum for her, and approximately $5 million per year for the McCartney heir up until the age of 18. (Beatrice is currently 4-years-old.) Stella’s half-sis will also have a $2 million trust waiting for her when she comes of age. In all, Mills will be raking in approximately $27.5 million for each year she was married to the music legend.
