Personally, I like her with whatever hair (except when she doesn’t have any at all); she seems to pull off most of them. I am also glad to see her seemingly-happy these days in her photos.

At any other time, news might generate more buzz. But her love life could fly under the radar…at least, for a little while.

These days, pictures of the singer with her new reported boyfriend, agent Jason Trawick, are not exactly unusual. But a picture of the singer with a nice ring on her left hand? Priceless.

In these photos taken earlier this week in Los Angeles, Spears does not attempt to the hide that piece of bling (or her white bra). Should we be reading anything more into this? Or should we be hoping it isn’t real?

Britney Spears Mixes Business with Boyfriend…Again

, platinum recording artist and mother of two, doesn’t have a lot of time between picking out skimpy outfits, learning her choreography and globetrotting for her tour to seek out a new man. So, she just picks from among those closest to her…co-workers.

Thus far, Brit’s dating style hasn’t exactly worked for her in the past…but why not keep trying, anyway?

According to TMZ, “multiple sources” are now confirming that Spears is indeed dating one of her agents. She was recently pictured frolicking on a beach in a bikini with Jason Trawick of the world-renown William Morris Agency…but apparently, it’s not a service that’s available to every single client of the celebrated firm. Just, you know, the celebrities their agents might be dating at the time.

Britney Spears sued by ex-bodyguard Kerry Vine

Britney Spears Kerry Vine is being sued by Kerry Vine, one of her ex-bodyguards. In court documents filmed this past Monday, Vine says he was injured while working at her Britney’s home in Los Angeles in March 2008. The documents state: “Advanced Security Concepts negligently operated their business thereby causing injuries to Vine who worked for Spears at the time. Spears breached that duty of care to the plaintiff by failing to ensure that he could safely perform duties that Advanced Security Concepts ordered him to perform.”

Kerry is suing for personal injury, battery and negligence which he says caused him to lose wages and incur medical and hospital fees. He also claims loss of personal property and earning capacity. The initial hearing will take place on September 2.

This is just the latest in a string of legal woes to fall into Britney’s lap. Last month, she was granted a restraining order against her former manager , which bans him from being within 100 yards of Spears for three years. Sam is also not allowed to contact the 27-year-old singer via email, phone or old-school snail mail. Lawyer Jon Eardley—who previously questioned why Britney’s father Jamie was made co-conservator of her professional and personal affairs last year—is also included in the same restraining order.

Parade magazine will soon release a “What People Earn” issue which details the income earned by Hollywood’s elite for the fiscal year of 2008, a year which was extremely rough on the finances of many average Americans.

The issue reports that Jennifer Aniston earned a hefty $27 million, which trumps the paltry $2.25 mill raked in during 2008. Taylor Swift out-earned Brit with $5.5 million, which still pales when compared to Beyonce’s stunning $80 million in earnings.

So who’s the biggest star of them all, the top earner for the year 2008? Is it , Will Smith, Donald Trump? The winner, earning the most in the last calendar year, is Mattel with a whopping $3.3 billion. Barbie - still hot after all these years. Now, that’s star power.

According to the issue, celebrity salaries trump the average American’s yearly earnings by an extreme amount: the stars earn around 115 times more money than you do. Too bad about the recession - Barbie might’ve made it up to 4 billion on the year.

Britney Spears: A Passenger in Her Own Life

Britney Spears Papers were filed Monday with the L.A. Superior Court that have pretty well sealed the fate of one , who from now on will no longer be the captain of her own ship. That’s right - Daddy’s got control, and he’s going to keep it.

Jamie Spears has officially been awarded permanent conservatorship, or guardianship, of daughter Britney. He’ll determine what to do with her finances, career and personal life from now on…until the agreement is severed through death or the court system. Spears now has the legal right to pull the strings on Brit’s life, even to “restrict and limit visitors by any means.”

Seriously, does this sound a little ominous to anyone else?

Jamie Spears reportedly received a raise for his guardianship role recently, getting bumped up to $75 per hour. The raise gave him an income hike of about $51,000 annually. Now, he makes around 16 large per month just to hold Brit’s hand, tell her what to do and in general run her life. Basically, he’s getting paid to take care of his daughter. ...Is it me, or is that weird?

Lord Acton’s words from 1887 are often paraphrased into a famous quote which I think is relevant here:

Now, he’s going to go on the record when it comes to her.

Did Simon Cowell Wow Britney Spears?

Simon Cowell“I think she was in awe of me,” told the British press recently. Currently in country to work on the X-Factor, Cowell will soon be Stateside for the eighth season of American Idol. And, according to him, the reality TV contestants aren’t the only ones who seem to be overwhelmed in his very big presence.

When visited the show, Cowell said she was awed by him, though he admitted the statement “may be a bit egotistical.” Ego from you, Simon? Never! “She was just staring at me,” he admitted. “I said ‘touch me, I’m human,’ and I think that broke the ice.”

Cowell recently told the British media that he may not return for another season of X-Factor, though he’s been threatening the same of for years.
