Quote of the Day: Robert Pattinson on His No-So-Fresh Style
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Clothing, Style

“Yeah, kind of. Like these jeans are a few days old, but the top is probably fresh because it gets to the point where even I can’t stand the air around me. I don’t know, my personal hygiene – it’s so disgusting! Really it’s just that I have very few clothes that I like and I’m travelling all the time, so I can’t really get any more.”

Michael Fassbender Loves Leather Speedos
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Clothing, Style
300 hunk Michael Fassbender likes wearing leather Speedos.
The Fish Tank actor, who dons a series of unusual outfits for his roles in forthcoming movies Jonah Hex and Centurion, refuses to limit himself to art house movies because he prefers the outfits he dons for big-budget films.
“I like doing both kinds of films. It doesn’t always have to be social commentary. Besides, I like running around in a leather Speedo.”
The actor also admits he is willing to tackle almost any film role if it feels right, and doesn’t worry about embarrassing himself in the process:
“I’ve been going on my gut pretty much from the beginning. I’m not always going to get it right, but risk interests me. There is some embarrassing element to everything I do in life. I used to beat myself up about it, but if you’re really going to learn and expand you’ve got to be open to doing things that perhaps don’t work out in the way you envisaged.”
Chloë Sevigny Wants to Design for Hermès
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Movies, Clothing, Fashion Police, Style, Rumors
Apparently Big Love star Chloë Sevigny is returning to her fashion roots. She recently made several remarks in an interview, heavily speaking about her desire to design a luxury line.
“I’d like to do something with a high-end company. You know, the way that Sofia Coppola did with Louis Vuitton. I thought it was very cool. There were no labels on anything. I like that. I prefer it,” she told the interviewer.
When asked by WWD about who she would like to collaborate with, she laughed at her far-reaching answer: “Hermès, maybe? That might be reaching a little high. Actually, NaNa would be a great collaboration!”

Fashion Icon Yves Saint Lauren Dies at 71
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Clothing, Style, Obituaries
World-renowned, revolutionary French clothing designer Yves Saint Laurent died yesterday at the age of 71.
Saint Laurent’s long-time companion, Pierre Berge, revealed to the press that the fashion icon had been diagnosed with a brain tumor last year, passing away quietly in Paris on Sunday.
The living legend’s real career began when he became Christian Dior‘s right-hand man, ultimately succeeding the fashion giant. Saint Laurent eventually founded his own line, proving to be just as innovative and revolutionary in women’s fashion as his predecessor. His companion, Berge, said it best: “Chanel gave women freedom. Yves Saint Laurent gave them power.”

Matthew Broderick in Need of Sarah Jessica’s Styling Help
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Red Carpet, Style, Photos, Editorials

These are two pics of actor Matthew Broderick taken in recent weeks.
Are you seriously telling me that his wife - the fashionable Sarah Jessica Parker - let him out of the house with those shoes?
Seriously. Those awful things rank right up there with Britney Spears’ hideous brown boots.

If there is anything we can learn from Mary-Kate Olsen‘s outfit, it’s that some things are better left in the ‘80s.
Katie Holmes: Fashion Designer?
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Clothing, Style, Rumors
Katie Holmes has apparently proven that she knows how to spend money on clothes, so that must mean she’s qualified to design them as well. Right?
A recent issue of OK! magazine reported that Mrs. Tom Cruise was in line to have her own label under the Giorgio Armani name. The collection, supposedly titled ‘Katie Holmes for Armani’, would have eventually included items for toddlers, kids and women. It was a story too ridiculous it was probably true. But surprisingly, it wasn’t. Or isn’t yet.
According to Holmes’ rep, the designing rumor was just that - a rumor. “Katie Holmes is not designing a children’s clothing line for Giorgio Armani.” Who knows? Maybe her rep planted the story in hopes of making it true. I mean, really—what else does Katie have going on? She’s already made a mess of her acting career (choosing to come back in Mad Money and not the Batman sequel was not a smart move)—she might as well do something else.

Get the Amy Winehouse Look
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Clothing, Style
Here’s a tidbit that almost seems too ridiculous to be true: Amy Winehouse is coming out with her own makeup and clothing lines.
Seriously.
According to The Sun, the singer will soon be speaking to fashion and cosmetic execs about this new financial venture. If wannabes are going to (inexplicably) imitate her, why not make them pay to do it? Possible items linked to Winehouse’s name include hairspray (duh), scarves (to keep the bees in the hive), perfume (to mask the unwashed scent) and eyeliner (double duh).
Products not included? Brushes, shampoo, tattoos, crack pipes and disintegrating ballerina flats.

The Oscars: Red Carpet Fashion
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Clothing, Fashion Police, Hair Styles, Red Carpet, Style, Photos
For me, award season isn’t about who walks away with a statuette - it’s about what they’re wearing when they’re doing it. Who looked great? Who should have stayed home? And who stole the show away from the actual show? That’s right - it’s time for the Oscars red carpet round up.
Pregnant Jessica Alba arrived on the red carpet in a dark maroon, empress-cut waisted dress that gave her baby bump plenty of room. Everything was okay but the top of the dress, which exploded in a profusion of feathers that made her gown look less like couture and more like curtains haphazardly wrapped around her body.
Keri Russell wore a double-stranded necklace that somehow didn’t complement her shell-colored ball gown. The color wasn’t right for Keri, and the unembellished look didn’t quite reach the elegant look Russell was no doubt going for.
