Sarah Palin Responds to Levi’s Johnston
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Television, Rivalries, Rumors

Levi Johnston has been getting a fair amount of press attention, a lot of it due to his association with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. You see, he’s going to bare it all in Playgirl and he happened to be the one to knock up Palin’s oldest daughter.
If that wasn’t enough, he’s made a few incendiary comments to the media recently regarding his dear, nearly mother-in-law. On a recent Early Show appearance, Levi called Palin’s song Trig “retarded,” (he’s got Down’s syndrome) and later added that he, Levi, could get Palin “in trouble and could hurt her.” Oh, do tell.

Dear Tori: Candy Spelling Reaches Out
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Television, Child Stars, Rivalries, Rumors

Tori Spelling says there’s no feud between she and mother Candy Spelling, the widow to Aaron and the matriarch of the Spelling clan. But their little back-and-forth game with the press seems to suggest there’s certainly something brewing, and some of it’s called damn good PR.
Could it possibly be a coincidence that Tori’s new book, which came out this week, also comes right on the heels of a well-publicized press battle between mom and offspring? First, Candy Spelling spoke in an interview with People about her off-again relationship with daughter Tori, saying she’d been cut out of the family.
Tori Spelling fired back in her own interview with People, saying there’s no feud and no friction between herself and her mother. She neatly put the ball in Candy’s court, saying “if she would love to see her grandchildren, she should really make an effort to reach out and see them.”

Tori Spelling Denies Feud
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Television, Child Stars, Rivalries, Rumors

“There’s no feud,” Tori Spelling recently spoke out on the mother-daughter feud which has been brewing in the headlines. “We simply never meshed,” Tori says of herself and her mother Candy Spelling, Aaron Spelling’s widow.
“I love my mother. I’ve always loved her,” Tori neatly dismissed claims that a feud brews in the House of Spelling. “It’s not like we’re not talking, we just haven’t talked.” Spelling spoke recently to People magazine to set the record straight.

Lindsay Lohan’s Fans Holding Her Back?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Music, Child Stars, Where Are They Now?
Lindsay Lohan, who hasn’t had a single acting gig since the ill-fated I Know Who Killed Me, says it’s all your fault that she’s not working. And you’d better help her out quickly, because she’s having trouble paying her mortgage and handling her bills. Evidently, even Disney paychecks only stretch so far.
“If people would just leave my personal life alone - because, it’s really not that interesting - then I could land a great role,” Linds recently explained to E! “But, all the sicko fans and the noise is so distracting.”
Someone please explain to Miss Lohan that it’s called press - and nobody ever earned or maintained a spec of stardom without it.
“I just want to live the dream that I’ve worked so hard for since I was four years old. I’ve been through a lot in my life. And there are many things I’d like to do to let people know that they just have to be strong,” Lohan said…before she continued to whine about how troubling it is to deal with the press she gets.

Tom Hanks Clarifies Controversial Comment
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Television, Rumors

During last week’s premiere of the HBO series Big Love, Tom Hanks had a few choice words for the Mormons of the world.
Hanks is one of the executive producers of Big Love, a scripted series which showcases a family of polygamists (who are also Mormon). TLC did the same thing, only theirs was a reality show - and never quite managed the success HBO’s project has found.
While at the premiere of the new season, Hands spoke out against “Prop-8,” which is properly called Proposition 8. This law was proposed in California - and passed - to ban same-sex marriage. The passing of the law stunned much of Hollywood, and many stars have spoken out against Prop-8 as a result. Even though the deal is done, they’re still talking. And so’s Hanks.

Jonas and Swift: Superstars Turned Super Childish
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Television, Break-ups, Hook-ups, Child Stars, Rivalries, Rumors

Hey, they actually are kids. At times I’ve wondered if some Disney celebs aren’t actually Stepford Stars - they look like teens, but they’re really bionic, singing, money-making robots. In some ways, it’s satisfying when they slip up. This at least proves that, while they may be beautiful and rich and talented, at least they’re still human. At the same time, the back-and-forth press games between Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift are starting to get a little - okay, a lot - tedious.
Swift seemed to take the high road regarding the Jonas bro split, saying “He’s not in my life anymore, and I have absolutely nothing to say about or to him” to the New York Times. That was on the ninth (Sunday), and that was the right thing to say.
But then news broke that Joe Jonas, one-third of the pop sensation The Jonas Brothers, was seeing music video hottie Camilla Belle

Alec Baldwin vs. My Name is Earl
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Television, Meltdowns, Rivalries, Breaking News

When Hollywood’s teen starlets engage in a feud, it’s usually over some hot young male celeb. When mature female stars squabble, it’s usually about publicity - and which one of them has a book out that talks about the feud. When well-established males in the industry start trading catty comments like a couple of kids…that’s entertainment.
Alec Baldwin started the brawl of the comments in the New Yorker. In Baldwin’s lengthy New Yorker profile, the actor launched into a gripe aimed at NBC shows My Name is Earl and Scrubs. Baldwin can currently be seen on NBC show 30 Rock, but after this one has to wonder for how long. When speaking of 30 Rock, Baldwin said, “if the show does succeed, it’ll be something of a [expletive deleted] miracle, because NBC hasn’t done a [expletive deleted] thing to help this show at all.” He further went on to state that NBC has “gone out of their way to wring the last drops out of My Name Is Earl and Scrubs. Those shows are done! They’re cooked! Yet they do a one-hour episode of Earl. You’ve got to be [expletive deleted] kidding me.”
