Divorce for Dawson’s Creek Star James Van Der Beek

The former Dawson’s Creek star split from actress Heather McComb earlier this year and has now started legal proceedings to officially end their six-year marriage. The papers were filed at a Los Angeles court and James cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their break-up.

The pair tied the knot in Malibu in 2003, six months after the sixth and final season of aired. James’ co-stars Michelle Williams and Busy Phillips attended the intimate ceremony.

Friends suspected a divorce was brewing when the couple sold their $2.5 million home in Studio City, California, in March. They put the mansion - which features 180-degree canyon, mountain and city views, and a luxurious mist cooling system - on the market.

Since they tied the knot, James - who played Dawson Leery in the teen drama - has guest starred in How I Met Your Mother, One Tree Hill, Ugly Betty and Medium.
Heather has appeared in Prison Break, Crossing Jordan and CSI: NY.

Susie Feldman has filed for divorce from husband Corey, both known more recently for their work on (2007-2008). That reality series also co-starred Corey Haim.

Together, Corey Haim and became the “It” boys of the 80s, both exploding on the scene after their work in The Lost Boys.

In addition to ending her seven-year marriage to Feldman, Susie’s also seeking full custody of their son Zen, 5. Susie cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

The legendary wrestler - real name Terry Bollea - got as far as picking up a gun to shoot himself when wife filed for divorce after nearly 24 years together, following claims he had had an affair in 2007.

In his autobiography, My Life Outside the Ring, Hulk wrote: “There were times when I thought that a whole bottle of pills would go down easy. Then I noticed the gun in my hand. I was careless with it… I kept my finger pressed right to that trigger… and if I moved that finger an inch in the right direction I would have blown my brains out.”

Kate Gosselin Wins Round 1

Kate GosselinEverything that’s been going on thus far was merely a warm-up to the real Jon and Kate Gosselin war, which got underway this week in court. So far, Kate’s ahead thanks to a ruling made by Judge Arthur R. Tilson.

For now, Jon Gosselin has been ordered to return $180,000 of the $235,000 he’s withdrawn from the joint bank account. According to lawyer Mark Momjian, Jon has to pony up the dough by October 26. “As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that the court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children,” said Kate.

Let’s just pause for a second and really think about the staggering sum of $235,000, an amount which many Americans don’t earn even two years’ of work. As a matter of fact, the average firefighter/EMT annually in 2003…and they save lives.

I believe “this thing” refers to his recent fallout with TLC, the cable network that made he and estranged wife Kate reality celebrities. Jon Gosselin went apes**t, if you’ll pardon the expression, when Jon and Kate became Kate Plus 8, signifying the new direction of the show. He on his property forbidding the camera crews to do their job and made incendiary remarks through his legal representative, igniting a media firestorm that’s been watched anxiously.

Whispers about a possible split have just grown louder. It’s now being reported that divorce papers will be filed shortly for Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley.

Avril is said to have asked Deryck, whom she wed three years ago, to move out of their Los Angeles mansion after calling time on their relationship. “She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on,” a source told Us Weekly magazine.

The Sum 41 rocker is apparently “crushed” by his wife’s decision and was hoping to work through their problems.

Avril, 24, is so determined to distance herself from the relationship that she has decided to ditch tracks she worked on with Deryck from her upcoming album. “She is going to do new songs that don’t have his mark on them. She wants no trace of him,” a friend told the magazine.

The couple’s marriage has reportedly been in trouble for months now, with Avril often seen partying with friends without her husband. In June, Deryck went to the Los Angeles premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen alone while Avril spent a week holidaying in Saint-Tropez with pals.

Deryck, 29, was also not present when Avril showed her new clothing collection at New York Fashion Week on Monday. Whibley’s representative did not comment on the report, while Lavigne’s could not be reached.

Looks like Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil are taking some cues from Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee.

The “Love Is A Losing Game” singer saw her ex-husband, whom she was officially divorced from last week, for the first time in 14 months for a secret date last Friday.

“Amy had been secretly planning this meeting, but told everyone she didn’t want to see Blake. The date went well. They had dinner and drinks and then—without anyone else knowing—she invited him back to her place early Saturday morning,” said a source.

In order for Amy, 25, to sneak Blake—banned by her family from seeing her—into her home, she had to send him through a window, so security wouldn’t raise the alarm (high school love story, anyone?).

Peter Andre is Ready For Love

The “Behind Closed Doors” singer has been single since he split from glamour model Katie Price earlier this year. At the time, he vowed he wouldn’t have sex until their divorce was finalized, but he has since decided to relax the ban and start looking for a new girlfriend.

The 36-year-old Australian star told Britain’s New magazine:

“Since my split from Kate, I took a vow of celibacy, which I am still sticking to. But I might be ready to start dating again. Ideally, I would like to be divorced before I meet someone special. But if it happens, it happens. I have come a long way in the last few weeks and my head is in a better place. You can still be celibate and date, you know!”

Peter, who raises three children, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii, with Katie, has also decided to start clearing his estranged wife’s possessions out of his homes: “Some of the newspapers are saying I went to Cyprus so I could ‘de-Kateify’ my house. This is not exactly true but I did have a bit of a clear out!”
