Drew Barrymore turned to Steven Spielberg for advice to protect her daughter from the paparazzi.
The 37-year-old actress - who gave birth to her first child Olive last September - is struggling to deal with the attention she has had since becoming a mum and she said her famous movie director godfather and husband Will Kopelman have given her excellent advice to deal with photographers.
"Unless I was to move underground with no windows, there's no way to avoid this, so I thought about the people that I look up to... People who have grace and they seem happy and they give us an example of how to behave. I talked to my husband... He's someone I think about when I think about that kind of person; I talk to his family, who I love. I talk to my godfather Steven Spielberg.''
Drew Barrymore chose her daughter's name when she was the "size of an olive."
The 37-year-old actress and her husband Will Kopelman welcomed their daughter Olive into the world 10 weeks ago and the Big Miracle actress has revealed she was inspired to pick the moniker when she was in the early stage of her pregnancy.
"I never would have guessed that would have been the name. But I was reading a book with my husband. I was three months pregnant and they said your baby is the size of an olive, and that was it. We never looked back," she said, speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Ellen then joked, "It could have been the size of a peanut or a grapefruit.'" Drew replied, "It could have been. It was a lot fruit and vegetables."
Drew Barrymore has given birth to a baby girl. The 37-year-old actress and her husband Will Kopelman welcomed their first child, Olive, last Wednesday and have asked for privacy during this "special time."
The happy couple issued a statement reading, "We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born Sept. 26th, healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives."
The Going the Distance star - who began dating art consultant Will in 2010 - tied the knot in June in an intimate Jewish ceremony on her estate in Montecito, California. The couple were keen to get married before the baby was due in the autumn and enjoyed a relaxing honeymoon in Big Sur after the big event, which Drew described as a "perfect" day.
The actress - who has been married twice before - has often expressed her desire to start a family with Will: "I can't wait until I have my children. I just want to build fun, great things for my family."
Drew Barrymore and new husband Will Kopelman are honeymooning in Big Sur, California.
The actress and the art consultant - who married in an intimate ceremony earlier this month - have decided to stay close to their Montecito home and are spending a romantic few days at the Post Ranch Inn where they are enjoying views of the Pacific Ocean off the Saint Lucia Mountains.
The couple - who are expecting their first child together - have so far been very low-key and have been spotted enjoying romantic walks together while dressed in casual clothes.
After tying the knot with Will, Drew spoke about her wedding, saying it was "perfect" and she how couldn't have wished for a better day. "The day was perfect. Everyone we love and care about was there. It was as fun and meaningful as we ever could have hoped," said Drew, who has been married twice before.
Drew Barrymore married her fiancé of five months -- art dealer Will Kopelman -- earlier today at her Montecito home.
Following through with her plan to wed in June, Drew had celebrity wedding planners Yifat Oren and and Stefanie Cove -- who helped Reese Witherspoon last March when she tied the knot -- orchestrate her big day. A source said that the intimate ceremony was "a classic, simple, very pretty, garden-inspired wedding."
Jimmy Fallon and wife Nancy Juvonen, Busy Philipps and her husband, and Cameron Diaz were among some of the famous guests in attendance.
Drew, who has been married twice before, wore a Chanel gown (this doesn't come too much as a surprise, considering her father-in-law, Arie Kopelman, is a former CEO of the fashion house).
The couple are currently expecting their first child together.

Drew Barrymore is "totally focused" on getting married in June.
The 37-year-old actress - who is engaged to marry Will Kopelman - is still planning on her wedding despite being pregnant, and wants to use her home in Montecito, California, as the venue for the ceremony.
"She is so thrilled to be expecting. She is really focused on the wedding right now. She will be even more excited about the baby after that," a source told US Weekly.
The expectant mother is planning to wear Chanel for the big day.
Drew is believed to be expecting a baby girl, and has previously revealed her hope she would have a daughter to expand her family: "I feel I'm sort of surrounded by children and I do feel I'm going to have a child at some point. Maybe a little girl. I feel it, but I don't know if it's going to happen. We'll just have to wait and see."
Drew Barrymore wants to wed before she gives birth.
The 37-year-old Going the Distance actress - who is expecting her first child with fiancé Will Kopelman - reportedly wants to say "I Do" this summer before their little one arrives.
"She wants to marry Will fast. Not just because she's pregnant but because she loves him and wants to be married before the baby is born. Drew's checking out dresses that will fit her then," a source told Life&Style.
Having been previously been married to comedian Tom Green and British bar owner Jeremy Thomas, the former child star - who entered rehab aged just 13 - admits she is enjoying the "stability" of her relationship with Will: "It's just the best! We go on group trips and spend holidays together - there's a lot of love! And that is really nice and very different from the way I grew up, which was more unstable and inconsistent, with a lot of highs and lows. It's funny, when I was younger, I used to say I'd hate a flat line - that I want the ups and downs, the roller coaster. But I'm actually really enjoying the flat line."
The stars strutted on the red carpet for the 2010 Golden Globes, though the weather didn’t quite align in their favor.
