Win a Meeting with Miley Cyrus

In an attempt to raise money for her family’s charity (and probably sound good PR for herself), Miley Cyrus is auctioning off a “meet and greet” with her at an upcoming red carpet event.
The person who bids the most money for the Pappy Cyrus Family Foundation - an organization that supports underprivileged children - will have the opportunity to join the singer at the November premiere of Bolt, an animated Disney film Cyrus is a part of. The bidding, which began last night and ends July 29, currently stands at just over $2000. (I believe parents paid just about that much for tickets to her last concert tour.)
Other items up for grabs in the eBay auction include clothing actually worn by the star and autographed posters and cds. You can learn more about the fundraiser from Miley in a video clip found after the jump.

Celebrity Baby Items Up for Auction

Celebrity Babies
If you often envision your babies wearing something seen in Us Magazine, this upcoming auction might be right up your alley.
Next week, eBay will feature hand-me-down items from a list of Hollywood celebrities. The gently-used pieces (at least, I hope they’re gently-used) are being donated in hopes of raising money for several children’s charities. Organizations benefitting from the proceeds will include the March of Dimes and Save the Children.
Come April 29, interested parties can bid on one of Matt Damon’s former messenger-style baby bags, a high chair of Julianne Moore’s and an Adidas track suit worn by Mariska Hargitay’s son. Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Jeri Ryan are several of the other stars contributing to the cause.
Those wanting to participate can find more information here.

James Blunt Is Sweet and Creepy

I’m sure James Blunt is a perfectly nice guy, but something about him just creeps me the heck out.
Today on the Ellen show, Blunt told an audience for the countless time how he sold his sister to a wealthy man on eBay. Now they are married.
The story sort of has a legitimate beginning. Blunt, a self-proclaimed eBay addict, says his sister Emily had no way to get to a funeral in Ireland.
The “You’re Beautiful” singer came up with the bright idea of listing her on the popular auction website as a ‘damsel in distress’. The highest bidder was a man with a helicopter and apparently no qualms about the white slavery aspects of the deal. They hit it off, moved in together and got married about 6 months ago.
Blunt says he hasn’t decided whether to offer up his remaining sister to the highest bidder. Ick.
