The actress - who married her actor husband in June 2005 - has admits the Hollywood heartthrob won her over through the internet because he has such a good way with words.

“It helped that we were both single at the time. He’s a very good writer.”

When asked if he wrote her love letters, she said, “Don’t make assumptions. I didn’t say that! Okay… e-mail. He’s a very persuasive writer.”

The 37-year-old beauty - who is previously divorced from actor Scott Foley - said the secret to their relationship was that they were friends before, and knew how to be “goofy” with one another. She added to Parade magazine, “Ben is sexy and kind, but he’s also a riot. We can be very goofy together. He doesn’t have trouble wiggling his way in anywhere. Ben is charm personified when he wants to be. He’s not easily threatened or made uncomfortable - he’s very secure in that way. Maybe he just knows I’m nuts about him, and he doesn’t have anything to worry about. Don’t forget we were friends first for a long time.”

Katy Perry Flirts With Pattinson

Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson spent the night flirting with each other at a mutual friend’s birthday party.

The “I Kissed A Girl” singer - who is dating comedian Russell Brand - and the Twilight hunk were at Dimples Supper Club in Burbank, California, and onlookers say they “only had eyes for each other.”

Website Radar Online says the pair “sat face-to-face, touching foreheads and acting very flirty with each other. They were both giggling and Katy looked positively giddy!” It is not the first time Katy and Robert - who has an on/off romance with his Twilight co-star - have been to the karaoke venue together. A staff member said, “They came here last year and every time she comes he seems to follow.”

Although she seemed quite smitten with Robert, Katy did manage to find time to take to the microphone. She belted out a Christmas track on the karaoke machine and when she and her friends took to the stage for the last song of the night, they weren’t impressed with the DJ’s choice of Pink’s “So What.”

She started shouting, “Wrong song! No! We don’t like Pink.” However, her pleas were ignored and she eventually gave up and she and her friends sang along. At the end of the evening, Katy, Robert and a friend all left for home in the singer’s Audi.

“I was on tour with the band this summer. They invited me actually on Twitter. That’s how we met – on a dare. They dared me to come sing with them a song that I’d never sung before ... So I ended up on tour with the band, and it was very, very fun,” the 23-year-old told a radio station.

So what exactly does Emmy see in the 45-year-old Counting Crows frontman? “I get why chicks dig him,” the soon-to-be divorced Rossum recently told People. “He’s extremely kind, incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, creative and respectful.” Hopefully those qualities will keep her around longer than both Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston, previous Duritz flames.

On today’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the country star did her best to get around any questions about the New Moon hunk. When asked about a recent off-camera outing together, Swift cutely replied: “I really like hockey a lot. And it turns out—so does he!”

In the month since the Video Music Awards, Katy Perry’s relationship with Brand has become a hot topic of the paparazzi. Now the two are feeling comfortable enough to display a little PDA.

Shortly after the MTV event, the singer and the actor traveled to Thailand for a little vacation together. Since that time, the new couple has been snapped around Paris at Fashion Week and near Jim Morrison’s grave. The photo above was taken yesterday outside of LAX.

Based on comments made earlier this month to The Sun, it appears the British comedian may consider Katy to be more than just a fling. “I think I’m in love,” he said.

The Oscar-winning actress, who is dating her former agent, John Campisi, admits that there was no initial “spark” between them because they were both dealing with heartache. Hilary—who was in the process of divorcing Chad Lowe when she started working with John in May 2006—explained to Hello!, “There was no spark. What’s interesting is, there was never anything. It wasn’t until we were well into the dissipation of our respective relationships. Going through something so difficult at the same time, we became very good friends. We became closer and closer. It was so unexpected. We both recognized that if we were going to take the relationship to the next step, we could no longer work together.”

Although the 35-year-old star says she has no plans to marry John, 41, in the near future, she hopes to start a family with him one day and enjoys spending time with his son Sam, from a previous relationship.

“Sam’s a sweetheart. I most definitely want children. It’s something I’d like to do someday. And when the timing is right I’ll hopefully know it.”

Looks like Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil are taking some cues from Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee.

The “Love Is A Losing Game” singer saw her ex-husband, whom she was officially divorced from last week, for the first time in 14 months for a secret date last Friday.

“Amy had been secretly planning this meeting, but told everyone she didn’t want to see Blake. The date went well. They had dinner and drinks and then—without anyone else knowing—she invited him back to her place early Saturday morning,” said a source.

In order for Amy, 25, to sneak Blake—banned by her family from seeing her—into her home, she had to send him through a window, so security wouldn’t raise the alarm (high school love story, anyone?).
