Edward Norton Not Big on Social Networking

Edward Norton thinks social networking sites are like “torture.” Unlike many other celebrities, the Leaves of Grass actor has never written an internet blog because he hates the idea of people cyber stalking him.
“I haven’t personally really engaged in a lot of this new kind of social networking stuff like Twitter or Facebook or MySpace,” the 40-year-old star explained. “I mean, the notion of people following what I am doing every day is like torture for me. It’s absolutely the last thing that I’m looking for. It seems to me to be really just about social chatter.”
Despite his web worries, Edward agreed to sign up on Twitter to help raise money for his favorite charity, the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust.
“It’s a good example of a way that you can turn that platform into something where you actually can accomplish something good,” he added to Parade magazine. “It’s my first attempt. We’re putting our running training log on Twitter. You can see can see pictures too on the site there. The trust conserves the wildlife and culture of the Maasai tribe of Kenya, Africa.”

Miley Cyrus Too Busy for Love

She may spend a lot of time on her various Internet accounts, but fans shouldn’t read too hard into what Miley Cyrus writes.
“I’m the queen of corny quotes. I Google love quotes, happy quotes, sad quotes, I just like quotes. I don’t want to write, ‘I’m eating a cookie.’ I think that Twitter could be used for so much more,” the 16-year-old said.
Although recent tweets have sparked rumors that she has rekindled her romance with underwear model Justin Gaston, the young star insists she is too busy focusing on her career to commit to a relationship. “There are a lot of people I’m supposedly dating these days. But I’m just kicking it right now, I don’t really have time for a huge relationship. There’s no dude,” she said.

Dustin Lance Black Responds to Internet Scandal

Why do bad things happen to good people? This has been quite the year for Big Love writer Dustin Lance Black—one moment he’s being honored in Los Angeles by gay youth-mentoring group LifeWorks, and the next moment his private photos are blasted all over the internet.
The writer, whose Milk script nabbed him the 2009 Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, has been a supporter of the LGBT movement and advocate of safe sex. Intimate photos of Black and an ex-boyfriend engaging in what appears to be risky sex were leaked to photo agency Starzlife the other day.

Tom Cruise Dead! No, Wait, Just His Career

An agent for Tom Cruise was forced into releasing a statement today regarding the actor after rumors spread through cyberspace that he’s dead. The story said Cruise had tumbled in New Zealand, suffering fatal injuries.
“This is completely not true. Tom is not in New Zealand, nor has he been there recently. This is erroneous and unreliable Internet garbage,” were the words from Jeff Raymond, Cruise PR rep.
The news quickly made the rounds of U.S.-based gossip sites before moving all the way to Singapore and beyond, putting Cruise in the spotlight for the first time in several weeks. Two years ago, stories circulated that actor Tom Hanks fell from the same cliffs mentioned in the report.
Katie Holmes, wife to Cruise, will appear on Broadway this very night to officially open her show, “All My Sons.” Cruise will no doubt appear in the audience, proving that he’s hale and healthy after all. It’s really his career which has been taking a plummeting nose-dive, not the man himself.

Rachael Ray Ad Pulled Due to Political Controversy

While Food Network favorite Rachael Ray may have a lot of haters, no one has ever accused her of supporting terrorism… until now.
The 30 Minute Meals star was featured in an Internet ad for Dunkin’ Donut, advertising their line of iced drinks. Despite what appears to be a very normal, innocent ad, the popular donut chain was forced to pull it due to complaints about her advocating Muslim extremism!
How, might one ask, is this picture (seen above) have anything to do with Islamic terrorism? Well, according to columnist/blogger Michelle Malkin, the scarf Ray wears in the photo resembles that of a kaffiyeh, which Malkin explains, “has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad. Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant (and not-so-ignorant) fashion designers, celebrities, and left-wing icons.”

Does Lindsay Lohan Have a Sex Tape?

(UPDATE: Calum’s rep denied the sex tape rumors to Us Magazine. “Sorry to disappoint you, but it’s not Calum in the tape.” But is it Lindsay??)
It looks like DUIs have become so 5 minutes ago. Sex tapes are now the latest trend in Hollywood.
Just a few days ago, rumors of a possible Kristin Davis sex tape ran wild across the internet. Now a video involving our favorite girl, Lindsay Lohan, may be coming to light.
According to The Sun, there is a supposedly a clip being spread online of Lindsay during her time with British TV personality Calum Best. (The two dated last year before her stint in rehab.) Supposedly the clip of Lohan ‘performing an act’ was taken with Calum’s cell phone. A snippet of that video was shared with friends; a possible extended version may be leaked later.
Needless to say, Linds is reportedly freaked out by the matter. She apparently didn’t know that she was being filmed. (Maybe that’s why she went into rehab?) Just last year, she was telling People that her new boyfriend was “a nice guy.” Methinks she’ll be retracting that statement soon.

You Tubed, Now You Vote

Voting polls will be closed in two days for the Tubies, an award event which honors the best YouTube videos. Twelve categories which run the gamut of the genre (everything from Series to Instructional) encompass such popular nominees as the “Leave Britney Alone” guy and “I Got a Crush…on Obama.” Anyone can vote on the best YouTube videos from 2007 and then watch the results, of course, on YouTube. This will be the second annual Tubies event.

Does Miley Cyrus Have Her Own Set of Sexy Photos?

Over the past couple of days supposed pics of a scantily-clad Miley Cyrus have been circulating the internet. But unlike the photos that cast a shadow on Vanessa Hudgens’ career, these stills (thankfully) do not show any nudity. (They do, though, show a girl teasing the camera while wearing very little.) The self-portraits have also lacked confirmation by the actress/singer herself. As it is, many have wondered if they were doctored to begin with.
While I would seriously like to think a 15-year-old girl would not post these photos on her personal MySpace page (as is reported), I hate to admit they do look like her. Arrrggh. Can’t we just have one squeaky clean artist who is indeed squeaky clean?
