We all knew that John Mayer was fairly obsessed with Twitter—this is the guy who told us that his penis fell asleep. Who knew that he’d let this obsession get to his head so much that he feels the need to offer advice to everyone?

Seeming to have gained insight into the mind of a 16 year-old icon due to his affinity for Twitter, Mayer commented on Miley Cyrus’s departure from the social networking site: “She’s smart enough to realize there is some interference of the brain that she doesn’t want to deal with… I think if you’re in Miley’s situation, it might take a little too much time to play goalie for your own heart and mind.”

Jennifer Aniston Dated a Mormon

Love knows no religious bounds for Jennifer Aniston, who once dated a Mormon.

The Love Happens actress finds the religion—an offshoot of Christianity which encourages men to have more than one wife—very interesting and was keen to get to know her religious former boyfriend better.

Jennifer, who was married to Brad Pitt and has since dated Vince Vaughn and John Mayer, said: “Mormons are fascinating… I dated a Mormon once.”

However, when she was told there would be “no sexy time” or “no vodka,” Jennifer changed her mind, saying, “Leave it at that.”

The former Friends star—who is rumored to be romancing her The Bounty co-star Gerard Butler—has also given potential suitors advice on what drink to buy her at the bar: “Vodka’s what I drink. That’s my drink of choice actually. It’s a clean, um, liquor, yes. You know, no sugar.”

Mayer and Aniston Break Up…Again

If things don’t work out with Jamie Kennedy, maybe Jennifer Love Hewitt can turn to one of her exes?

Although they recently put their love on display at last month’s Oscars, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer apparently couldn’t keep the post-prom glow alive. According to People magazine, the two broke up (again) shortly after Jen returned from an overseas Marley & Me promo tour.

“They had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other,” a source claimed. “Jen is moving on with her life like she always does. She seems happy.” Another tipster told E! Online that Mayer was the one who put an end to it all.

Be looking for John to explain exactly what happened during another impromptu press conference shortly.

They may not have actually walked down the red carpet together, but Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer did make Sunday a big date night. Mayer, as previously announced, attended his first Academy Awards as Jen’s “Oscar boyfriend.”

Formal gown, check. Fitted tuxedo, check. Oscar backdrop, check. The only thing missing from this prom photo is the corsage. Let’s just hope this won’t be one of those high school romances the two of them will later regret.

John Mayer Escorts Jennifer Aniston to Oscars

Jessica Simpson might want to stay away from her television this weekend.

Despite enduring an earlier breakup, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have been moving full steam ahead. In the past few weeks, they’ve celebrated Aniston’s 40th birthday together and smooched publicly during a Valentine’s trip in the Bahamas. Now Jen and John will be hitting the red carpet as a couple.

John recently told PopSugar that he is scheduled to be a plus one for this weekend’s Academy Awards. (Jen is rumored to be a presenter at the 81st annual event.) “It’s my first Oscars. And it’s my first being an Oscar boyfriend,” Mayer revealed.

Question is: Will this be Aniston’s way of proving she’s finally happy….or is she really trying to make sure Brangelina doesn’t see her alone?

Although he could have purposely left things vague, John Mayer made an unexpected move this weekend: He spoke to the media about Jennifer Aniston.

Up until recently, Mayer and his ex had decided to let their pictures do all of the talking. But the hounding photographers and the rumors of infidelity eventually forced the 30-year-old to crack.

And while I’m sure Jennifer wouldn’t have chosen to speak to a random paparazzo, she should be happy to know that the exasperated singer was frank, yet still kind.

Are John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston Already Over?

Okay, let’s get a pool started now. Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson or Jennifer Aniston. Which of these ladies do you think will settle down first?

When John Mayer was spotted vacationing in Mexico last week, many questioned his girlfriend-less trip. Now it looks like we have our explanation: Mayer and Aniston recently called it quits.

Although things appeared to be going well since their April debut, sources tell People the two were simply on different tracks. “They had a great time together but they are just in different places in their lives right now.”

The Daily Mirror adds that it was the 30-year-old singer who initiated the break-up. “John took the decision to end things as he felt he just wasn’t ready for the level of commitment that Jennifer deserved,” claims a source. (I guess he really didn’t cherish their love.)

Is there a chance of a reunion? Possibly. Aniston and Mayer are reportedly still in contact. And given Mayer’s prolonged ending with Jessica Simpson (somewhere, she’s laughing right now), I wouldn’t be surprised to see them eating privately again soon.

Lindsay Lohan Barks Back at LAPD’s Gay Remark

As celebrities like Eric Roberts, John Mayer, and Milo Ventimiglia pushed for a crack down on paparazzi laws earlier this week, LAPD Chief William Bratton shared his true feelings about the paparazzi to reporters:

“If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving; Paris is out of town not bothering anybody anymore, thank God, and evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don’t seem to have much of an issue.”

Despite whether it’s true or not, Lindsay wasn’t too happy with the police chief’s remark, stating that “Police chiefs shouldn’t get involved in everyone else’s business when it comes to their personal life. It’s inappropriate.”

Surprisingly, I’d have to agree with her for once. At the same time, one can argue that she is one of the major contributing factors (along with Britney and Paris) in the rise of crazed paparazzi, yet Bratton, in my opinion, really had no right to say what he did as a police official.
