Justin Guarini to wed this weekendWith American Idol cranking out the seasons and garnering the focus on judge Paula Abdul’s replacement(s), most people tend to forget about the contestants—like Justin Guarini.

Turns out that Guarini’s getting married this weekend! The 30-year-old is set to wed Reina Capodici, his high school classmate from Doylestown, Pennsylvania; he’ll become step-father to her 4-year-old daughter Lola.

Guarini was (if you need refreshing) the runner-up to Kelly Clarkson in the very first season—anyone remember that film they made together, From Justin to Kelly?

Apparently the guy is doing gigs for the TV Guide channel, covering the Emmy awards as well as American Idol—at least he’s received some work!

Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, and Kelly ClarksonKelly Clarkson has blasted Kanye West for being “a tactless a**hole.”

The “My Life Would Suck Without You” singer is furious with the “Stronger” rapper for storming on stage at the VMAs on Sunday as Taylor Swift collected the Best Female Video prize for “You Belong To Me.”

Kelly has questioned whether Kanye’s childhood is to blame for his egotistical behavior:

“What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like s**t. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty sh**ty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, a**hole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my a**hole ex that cheated on me over you… which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really (sic)??”


Returning American Idol Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson to return to American Idol as judgeThe original American Idol Kelly Clarkson is set to return to her roots.

The “My Life Would Suck Without You” singer, who won the first series of the US TV talent show in 2002, will appear as a guest judge at an audition next week.

A source said: “Kelly is beyond excited to get back to the show that started it all.”

It has also been claimed Kelly and the other current judges—Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi—will be joined by one of the Jonas Brothers to find America’s next pop superstar.

Following the departure of full-time judge Paula Abdul, who is believed to have quit the show over an alleged pay dispute, a series of famous faces have filled her place, including former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, hip-hop artist Mary J. Blige, and “I Kissed a Girl” singer Katy Perry.

The source added: “At this stage it doesn’t look like Paula will be replaced by one person. The celebrity judges are working really well for now.” Other stars linked to the guest judge role include Jennifer Lopez and Shania Twain.

American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson was performing last night when a fan handed her a poster of Robert Pattinson (as brooding vampire Edward Cullen, of course). From there, she took the poster and sang “I Want You” to it! Clearly, celebrities aren’t too immune to Pattinson’s lure. Check out the video of her serenade after the jump.
