Gwen Stefani wears make-up to make her husband Gavin Rossdale like her more.
The No Doubt singer - who is known for her trademark red lips and pale skin - has confessed that the main reason she wears such heavy make-up is to please her husband of ten years, rock musician Gavin. "I like to make my husband like me more, and he likes it when I'm wearing makeup," she told Harper's Bazaar.
Gwen added to the interviewer, "I already put my makeup on twice today: I put it on to take my kid to school, and then I went home, washed my face, and put it on again to have lunch with you."
The blonde bombshell also said you would need to "torture yourself" in order to achieve her rock solid abs and the 42-year-old claims her enviable figure is down to a strict exercise regime. "There is no secret: You just have to eat healthy, work out, and torture yourself!" she joked.
And to think that nothing could quite top Nicole Kidman's makeup mishap at last year's Nine premiere!
Performing an impromptu show in New York City last night, Lady Gaga showed up looking a little less than her usual fabulous self. Putting the dominatrix outfit aside (I wouldn't even know where to begin!), Gaga's eyebrows seem to have ran off while her tanning product ran amok across her face.
Perhaps someone should have bought her a mirror for Christmas? Hopefully she learns that she can always count on technology to be there for her surprise appearances!

Kelly Osbourne plans to have her tattoos removed.
The reality TV star, who has more than 15 inkings on her body, feels some of the designs were a “mistake” and says she didn’t miss them when they had to be covered up for a recent movie role.
“I’ve decided to get a few tattoos removed. Some still have special meaning, like the matching ones my brother Jack and I have of each other’s names, but I now feel like some were a mistake. They covered a few of them with make-up last week for a scene in my new film Should’ve Been Romeo - and I can’t say I missed them! I want to get rid of the keyboard on my forearm - I can’t even play the piano! And I don’t like the heart and bones on my wrist either.”
Kelly has already consulted with medical experts and is looking forward to starting the removal process - though she admits she is dreading the procedures: “I met with my dermatologist and I’ll start the laser treatment as soon as I have time. It will take several months, and while I’m not looking forward to the pain, I’ve heard it hurts less than getting the tattoo. I hope so!”
Halle Berry feels like a “man in drag” if she wears too much makeup.
The X-Men actress - who is considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful women - prefers to show off her natural good looks rather than spend time applying beauty products. “Less is more. When I wear too much makeup, I feel like a man in drag. I prefer to be low-maintenance,” she said.
Halle - who has an 18-month-old daughter, Nahla, with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry and is rumored to be having a second child - has revealed she dedicates even less time to preening herself since Nahla was born.
“My beauty routine has changed since I became a mother. Now all my efforts are for her. I don’t style my hair much any more, but I do hers all the time!” she explained to Britain’s InStyle magazine.
The 43-year-old actress has previously revealed she loves having a family and believes starting a family has changed her life.
“Motherhood will always be my priority now, especially because I had a child for the first time at 41. My priority had been myself for a long time, but now it will always be Nahla. You think you know what love is - until you have a child and discover that unconditional mother love,” she said.
