Neil Patrick Harris Wants a Husband

Neil Patrick Harris can't wait to marry partner David Burtka.
The How I Met Your Mother star has been engaged to the chef for over five years and the actor is eager to tie the knot because he wants to be able to call David his "husband." The 38-year-old actor - who has 15-month-old twins Gideon and Harper with David - told Out, "I'm not the biggest fan of the word 'partner.' It either means that we run a business together or we're cowboys. 'Boyfriend' seems fleeting, like maybe we met two weeks ago. I've been saying 'better half' for as long as I've been able to. I think it's a little self-deprecating and clearly defines that we're in a relationship, but it would be nice to say 'my husband.'"
Neil also admits he and David have their ups and downs like any other couple: "Sometimes I'm deeply in love with David and head-over-heels, and sometimes I question whether it's going to work out and is meant to be. It's more good times than bad, but it's not always good."

Neil Patrick Harris Recalls Acid Experience
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Television, Drugs
Actor Neil Patrick Harris "danced with a frog devil" when he took acid. The Smurfs star admits he took the hallucinogenic drug "once," but would avoid taking it again because he did not enjoy the experience.
"I've had my fair share of fun. I tried acid, once. But I think it had been watered down or something. So it wasn't apparently, what it was supposed to have been. But I do remember lying outside in Mexico, where it happened. There was a tree outside and suddenly the limbs of the tree became frogs handing upside down. That was understandably, the last time I did that. But yeah, I danced with the frog devil."
However, the How I Met Your Mother actor - who works in TV, film and on stage - admits he is a very lucky person because he gets to enjoy a career he loves in various formats: "I'm on of the luckiest people around these days. Not only do I get to act in a TV show that I love, as a hilarious character, but I now get to dabble in big movies."

Glee Creator Demands Newsweek Boycott
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Television
UPDATE: Ramin Setoodeh, the author of the Newsweek article, will be sitting down with Murphy and the other Glee writers.
Newsweek may have recently fired the first bullet in a media war. A recent article in the mag has been labeled everything from “antiquated” (Entertainment Weekly) to “horrendous” (Kristen Chenoweth). The article deals with the hot-button topic of homosexuality, alleging both that A) homosexual actors are not convincing in straight roles; and that B) we as an audience cannot accept homosexual actors in straight roles. The Newsweek piece mentions Glee star Jonathan Groff, who is playing Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) love interest Jesse St. James, and several other openly homosexual actors and actresses.
Glee creator Ryan Murphy has come forward in the press, urging people to boycott Newsweek as a result. He says the article is “damaging, needlessly cruel and mind-blowingly bigoted.” “Would the magazine have published an article where the author makes a thesis statement that minority actors should only be allowed and encouraged to play domestics? I think not,” Murphy said in a statement. He found it “shocking” that “Newsweek went ahead and published such a blatantly homophobic article in the first place.”
“Today, I have asked GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios to stand with me and others and ask for an immediate boycott of Newsweek magazine until an apology is issued,” Murphy stated.
