Russell Brand has been shopping for a diamond ring - sparking rumors he is going to propose to girlfriend Katy Perry.
The British comic star was photographed looking at bands at exclusive London jewelers Cartier last Friday with one specific sparkler catching his eye. “His face lit up when he saw this one particular diamond ring. He put it on his ring finger and gazed at it for ages,” a source said.
Russell, 34, has been dating Katy, 25, since September and it looks as though he is ready to turn his back on his womanizing ways for good and settle down with the “I Kissed a Girl” singer.

David Letterman: While Jay Leno was chatting with President Obama, Letterman was busy making news of his own. Last Thursday, the 61-year-old got married.
The late night host and his longtime girlfriend, 48-year-old Regina Lasko, were wed in a small ceremony in Choteau, Montana. Their 5-year-old son, Harry, was in attendance. The nuptial news will be announced during tonight’s taping of his program.

Tom Brady Pops the Question to Gisele Bundchen

UPDATE: Bundchen is denying the engagement.
Tom Brady might not be able to play football right now, but the New England Patriot has no problem getting down on bended knee.
Although it was recently rumored that the quarterback and his supermodel girlfriend were engaged, the Super Bowl champ just proposed to Gisele Bundchen, 28, this weekend. The two started dating back in 2006, shortly after Brady, 31, broke up with actress Bridget Moynahan. (The Sex and the City star later gave birth to Tom’s son in August 2007.)
According to People sources, the couple has already begun the wedding talk and that initial plans “are being planned by Bündchen and her closest friends this week.”
Could there be a reason for the flurry of activity? Hmmm…?

Engagement for DWTS’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff

To call these dancers “quick movers” would be an understatement.
Although they’ve only been together for less than six months, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff are now officially engaged. The two Dancing with the Stars competitors - who have known each other for about 15 years - began dating shortly after Smirnoff, 30, ended her relationship with Mario Lopez last summer.
According to sources, Maksim, 28, popped the question to Karina on New Year’s Eve while they were celebrating in Las Vegas. The proposal happened in between stops of their DWTS tour. (Both dancers are expected to participate in the next season of the ABC show when it returns on March 9.)
