Yesterday, the 27-year-old paraded his rock hard body (and stringy hair) on a set in Morocco. Jake is currently in North Africa filming , the big-screen adaptation of the video game. (The movie will be released in 2010.)

So what do you think of Jake’s new build? Does his manlier physique provide an interesting change…or do you prefer to have him looking less bulky? In either case, is a very lucky woman.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal Deny Engagement

Reese Witherspoon and Jake GyllenhaalOver the weekend, the Daily Mail caused a stir when they announced that Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal would soon be married. According to the British paper, star reportedly told friends he was getting married sometime around his birthday (December 19).

“He told me he had proposed several times but she kept telling him she wanted to give their relationship more time. When he asked her again a couple of weeks ago, she finally said yes,” said the source.

Unfortunately, the lovebirds dashed our hopes when they quickly denied the nuptial news. In a statement given to People, reps for both stars said the story was simply a rumor. “They are not engaged, getting married or any of the reports.”

Okay - so while I wait for Ryan and Rachel to reunite, could someone please make sure to get these two moving along?

Ryan Philippe and Abbie Cornish together in publicNearly two months after brooding cutie Ryan Philippe told USA Today that “it’s bizarre” to see his ex-wife Reese Witherspoon with another man (Jake Gyllenhaal), Ryan has finally lived up to the rumors that him and his Stop-Loss co-star were dating.

Philippe and his new girl, Abbie Cornish, appeared together at a 2008 Australian in Film Breakthrough Awards, making it quite clear to everyone that they were indeed an item. “They were adorable,” a guest recalls. “He had his arm around her and they were cozy and comfortable.”

The actress from down under was honored for a Breakthrough Award for her performance in the ‘s military drama.

Ryan Phillippe Says Abbie Cornish Not to Blame

Ryan PhillippeActor would like to set the record straight.  He wants me everyone to know that his “friendship” with Abbie Cornish had nothing to do with his break from .

Speculation about a relationship between Phillippe, 33,  and Cornish, 25, began when the two worked together on .  (That film is scheduled to be released March 28.)  In a interview with W, Ryan doesn’t deny ever becoming involved with the Australian actress, only that it wasn’t the reason for his public split.

“It was unfair for her to be called the names that she was, because it wasn’t about that. I don’t think an outside person can ever cause a divorce. I had difficulties in my relationship, and in my marriage, long before I ever met her.”

Well, duh.  If you become involved with another woman - it’s clearly because you were the problem to begin with.
