Those hoping Rihanna would completely sever ties from Chris Brown will have to wait a bit longer.

Less than three weeks after the alleged assault, the “Disturbia” singer and her (former?) beau have reunited. According to a source for People magazine, the two (along with one of Jay-Z’s bodyguards) are currently spending time together at one of Sean Combs’ homes on Miami Beach’s Star Island. (A relaxed Brown was recently snapped jet skiing in the area.)

Although they did their best to keep their distance last month, Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling are now letting their guards down.

The two Canadians, co-stars in 2004’s The Notebook, were caught in several embraces outside a restaurant in Toronto yesterday. Ryan, 27, and Rachel, 31, previously dated for 18 months before breaking the hearts of romantics last year.

Oh, I really hope this reunion works out for them. Seriously - could they be any cuter?

New Edition and NKOTB Working Together

What do you do when you’re a reunited boy band in need of a publicity stunt? You join forces with another boy band.

Last week, the hit the recording studio with the group that hit the music scene before them: New Edition. It was the first time both Maurice Starr creations have worked together on a project.

The song - which does not include bad boy Bobby Brown - is being put together by RedOne, the same man also responsible for ‘s new track ‘Fashion.’ (Just in case that news raises any red flags for you.) According to the producer, the song “sounds very universal and melodic and has both sides in it: The R&B, which is New Edition and the pop side for New Kids.”

You can expect to hear ‘Full Service’ on NKOTB’s upcoming album.

We’ve surely seen some strange relationship news over the past two days. 

Although he just recently went public with model Petra Nemcova, it appears Sean Penn may be closing the chapter on his bachelor lifestyle.  According to Extra, the actor and his wife, , have had a change of heart about their upcoming divorce.

The couple announced back in December that they would be putting an end to their long-running marriage.  The actors, wed since 1996, have two children together - Hopper Jack, 14, and Dylan Frances, 17.

You meet a guy, fall in love.  Two years go by and you’re diagnosed with breast cancer.  He helps you through that.  Two years later, you break up because he has reportedly cheated on you.  Then another year passes before he drunk dials and says he was a silly fool.

If you were that woman—would you take him back???  Well, as difficult as it would be for some people to understand, has apparently done just that. 

Despite calling it quits last February, it seems Minogue has given her former flame, , another chance.  The two had been together for a total of four years.  Although the couple denied any disloyalty, the actor (Unfaithful) was reportedly seen with other ladies shortly before their relationship’s demise.

According to the UK’s Daily Mail, their reunion comes with a set of restrictions.  The singer, 39, will only take Martinez, 42, back if marriage and a baby are in their future.  I’d like to think a man who can tough out a breast cancer diagnosis can handle other large commitments, but I unfortunately have my doubts.

Regardless, I really do hope Minogue has brighter future…with or without him.

UPDATE: Kylie has since denied taking Olivier back.  She insists they are only friends.

Did Danny Wood Deny NKOTB Reunion?

Danny WoodShortly after People reported that the were going to start anew, a post on ‘s own MySpace page led people to believe otherwise.

“Hello to everyone. Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying the New Year. I wanted to address the rumors of the NKOTB Reunion Tour. There has been no talk of this and you are getting it from source directly. Never say never, and you can’t believe everything you read. On another note my solo record will be released in Australia in March. There are a few new songs on it and I hope you guys will check it out. Thank you so much for your continued support.” - Dwood

But what I found most interesting about this post was that he only denied existence of a tour, which wasn’t necessarily reported to begin with.  It was only announced that they would be reuniting.  And how can he explain the recent activity on their web page?

New Kids on the BlockWhat seemed like an impossibility four years ago has now just come true: the New Kids are getting back together!

Although failed to reunite Joey, Jon, Jordan, Danny and Donnie back in 2004, People is reporting that there has apparently been a change of heart.  (Or maybe simply a change in their pocketbooks.)  It’s believed the official website - which has had some recent activity - will post some significant news with the next few weeks.  Will it be just a one-time deal…like a performance?  Or will it be an actual comeback attempt?  Who knows?  The girl who once saw them perform at a local fairground doesn’t care.  She just wants to get on the floor and do the New Kids Dance!
