Quote of the Day: Sandra Bullock on Her Annoying Qualities
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies

“Listen, I know I’m not easy to deal with. I’m controlling, and I want everything orderly, and I need lists. My mind goes a mile a minute. I’m difficult on every single level. I’m aware that I can be annoying.”

Sandra Bullock’s Special Lisp
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Rants
Sandra Bullock is having second thoughts on her childhood life choices, wishing she had embraced her lisp.
The All About Steve star is angry “society” forced her to correct her speech impediment when she was a child instead of accepting that “flaws” make people “special.” The 45-year-old star explained:
“When I was eight and had my speech impediment I wish someone had said to me, ‘Don’t change. Be who you are.’ But society is really strong in their opinions. I had a lisp that I had to get rid of, and I had to have speech therapy. I just think, ‘Why? Why did I need to get rid of a lisp?’ It’s that whole, ‘What is normal?’ thing. Why can’t we embrace people as they are? I wish I had realized that the things I thought were weaknesses and flaws were just me. They are unique traits that make special human beings.”
Sandra also blames sexism for making women feel bad about their bodies and personalities: “Why is it that young boys and men are unique and eccentric and are mavericks when they’re different, but women are odd when we are eccentric or different? It’s just not fair.”
Questionable Outfit of the Day: Sandra Bullock

Sandy, my darling - you hurt me real bad. You know it’s true. But honey, you gotta believe me when I say…this outfit is beneath you.
It’s hard to decide what I hate more here: the Valentine’s-Day-threw-up-on-me dress or the boots Sandra Bullock paired with it.
The movie may be called All About Steve, but last night’s premiere was definitely all about her.

Who Is Hugh Grant’s Perfect Match?
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies

Although many have wondered when George Clooney would finally settle down, there’s another charming actor out there who has somehow sidestepped the altar: Hugh Grant.
Even though Grant has the ability to woo his many film partners (in addition to the females watching him in the theater), the bachelor has not yet found a lady who can keep him tied down.
Not surprisingly, those around Hugh have their own matchmaking opinions…and that includes his ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley. Hurley, who once dated the Brit for a whopping 13 years, says there was a former leading lady who she believes Grant could have had a good thing with.
So who did the Austin Powers star name? Was it Julia Roberts (Notting Hill), Rachel Weisz (About a Boy), Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility) or Drew Barrymore (Music and Lyrics)?

Stars in Need of a Hair Change
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Music, Television, Hair Styles, Style, Photos, Editorials

After what seemed liked years of long, straight and bland hair, much ado was recently made when Gwyneth Paltrow stepped out with a new ‘do. Apparently she too was getting tired of her coif - either that, or she just couldn’t handle the kiddies pulling on it incessantly. Whatever the reason, the change was much needed.
For every star that keeps us guessing with their ever-changing styles, there’s surprisingly another who could afford to mix things up a bit. While it’s important to stick with styles that work for you, there comes a point when someone can work a style to death. With all of the money some of these celebrities have, you’d think they could afford to be a bit more adventuresome with their looks. What’s the worst that could happen? If the experiment goes wrong, they could always recolor or reattach.
The group of ladies on the following page are women I’ve been hoping to see something new from in quite some time. Aside from slight variations in some cases, these ladies have been pretty much been sporting the same old thing for ages.
