Justin Bieber is reportedly buying a diamond ring for Selena Gomez. Beverly Hills jeweler Neil Lane has been tasked with designing the $1 million item with friends close to the "As Long As You Love Me" hitmaker believing he is getting ready to propose to his on/off girlfriend.
The jeweler has created engagement rings for a number of stars - including Britney Spears - and although he won't comment on clients, an insider has revealed Justin's plans. "Justin is planning to go through final designs with Neil in the next week. At the moment his favorite idea is a huge, canary yellow, princess-cut diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds and set in white or yellow gold," a source said.
It is said Justin's schedule is being kept clear for Selena's 21st birthday in July - and it seems he's "relentless" pursuit is paying off. "Justin kept relentlessly pursuing her with text messages, emails and phone calls, despite the fact that she dumped him last year. Justin's mum Pattie also put pressure on Selena after coming to the conclusion she was the only one who could keep him on the straight and narrow," the insider.

Justin Bieber has hinted he and Selena Gomez are officially back together.
The 19-year-old "Beauty and a Beat" singer - who was dumped by the brunette beauty in December after a tumultuous two year relationship - briefly posted an uncaptioned new photo of them cuddling up together on Saturday (right), but he quickly deleted it.
The Spring Breakers actress flew to Norway earlier this week to see the "Baby" hitmaker, who is currently on tour, and they were soon spotted kissing. "They were holding hands, hugging and they kissed on the lips. They looked really in love, like no fights ever happened before. It definitely looked like they were back together," a source previously said.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have broken up for good.
The "Baby" singer had a huge bust up with his girlfriend on the day before New Year's Eve, prompting her to fly home to the US from the resort of Puerta Vallarta in Mexico. Multiple sources have since confirmed to Us Weekly the on/off couple have now split for good.
"He's been really down about the break-up," a source said.
Selena spent New Year at a house party with her friends, while Justin partied at Los Angeles club Couture with rapper Lil' Twist. The 18-year-old star has since been pictured smoking marijuana, with some blaming Justin's rapper friend as a bad influence. The incident was the final nail in the coffin of the romance for Selena who was unimpressed by his actions.
"Selena is done with him," another source added.

Taylor Swift is reportedly responsible for getting Selena Gomez to get back together with Justin Bieber.
The couple reunited last weekend after the 20-year-old "Love You Like A Love Song" singer's best pal Taylor, 22, reminded her that she is "crazy" about the "Boyfriend" singer, whom she dumped two weeks ago because of trust issues.
Taylor and Selena were spotted on a girls' night out on Saturday night and enjoyed dinner at Osteria La Buca in Hollywood. "When Selena hung out with Taylor she was really stressed out and frazzled about everything with Justin. But Taylor reminded her how crazy Justin is over her and to just try to stay above the fray. The problem between them stemmed from Justin texting other girls. So Selena is embarrassed by what he did because it makes her look stupid, that he would talk to these other girls, and she is also embarrassed that everyone is so invested in their relationship now because of his actions," a source said.

Selena Gomez was forced to seek treatment in hospital today.
The "Who Says" singer was spotted visiting the emergency room of a medical center in Los Angeles this morning after struggling to shift her sore throat. A source told gossip website TMZ.com that the 20-year-old brunette star developed a severe throat infection yesterday and was forced to cut short a recording session because of the pain. She went to hospital to rule out bronchitis - which her step-father currently has - and underwent further tests to see if she caught a contagious illness. The insiders said doctors don't believe Selena has strep throat but will have to wait a few days for her test results.
The hospital visit comes just hours after the "Love You Like A Love Song" singer helped her on-again/off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber, 18, celebrate winning three awards at the American Music Awards. The couple were spotted hand in hand at the official after party bash and left together last night.
Their reunion follows a brief split which saw Selena dump the Canadian popstar two weeks ago because of trust issues.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly made up after she stormed out of their dinner date last night. The Canadian heartthrob was spotted at the home of 20-year-old "Love You Like a Love Song" singer this morning, sparking speculation they spent the night together after she initially blocked him from entering her property after fleeing a Japanese restaurant in the San Fernando Valley because they had a huge argument within 10 minutes of sitting down.
"Something must have happened overnight, though, because his car was there this morning," a source said.

Selena Gomez will not be attending the American Music Awards because her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber is performing. Justin is set to perform at the ceremony on Sunday, and Selena is not going to make an appearance at the prestigious event in Los Angeles because the pain of their recent split is just too fresh.
"Selena has never been confirmed to be at the show," a representative said. She is also not nominated for any prizes at the ceremony, unlike Justin who is up for three awards, including the highly coveted Artist of the Year accolade.
Selena and Justin were believed to have held crisis talks last weekend to discuss where their relationship was going after their split was confirmed last week. "I saw Selena go into the hotel around 5:40 pm and not even three hours later, Justin went in. I saw him leave around 11 pm. It's not just over for Justin and Selena, whatever happens they have a lot to talk about. They're both being a bit cagey and stubborn but they're desperate to see one another. This isn't new for them; they often have a tumultuous relationship. We all expect them to work it out," a source said.

Justin Bieber had a run in with the law just hours after rumors surfaced he proposed to Selena Gomez.
The "Boyfriend" singer - who was dumped by his girlfriend of two years last week amid reports she felt she couldn't trust him to be faithful - was pulled over in his white Ferrari for making a dangerous left turn in West Hollywood last night and was then issued a ticket after police officers discovered his registration for the supercar had expired.
Law enforcement sources confirmed to gossip website TMZ.com that the 18-year-old Canadian popstar - who was driving with a friend at the time - was completely compliant with police and was issued a ticket for not having valid registration. But the singer didn't appear to be too concerned about his minor brush with the law as he posted a picture of the police car on his Instagram site.

The popstar couple - who had been dating since February 2011 - reportedly split last week, and the general public is just dying to know what went wrong. Although the "Baby" singer was open to talking about the break-up, he wasn't quite clear about his thoughts: "I don't know what to say. I don't know what's going on in my life. To even assess that it doesn't make sense 'cause I have not made any comment."
Although plenty of Bieber's female fans are happy with the news that the couple are no longer together (she faced hate mail and harrassment from many of them for the duration of their relationship), he neither confirmed nor denied the news.
Rumors of Bieber's infidelity arose when he was spotted with Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin, taking her to see The Lion King on Broadway.
