Shakira trained hard for her Latin pop sensation Shakira claims that she could belly dance from birth.

The “She Wolf” singer is famed for her hip-swivelling abilities and believes it isn’t something she ever had to learn, even though she did have lessons as a child.

The Columbian beauty said, “For me, it was, and is, more of a natural thing. It’s something that was practically given to me at birth, and for which I never had to train myself. These movements, they are inside me and I can call them back whenever I need them.”

Shakira realizes she is a sex symbol to men all over the world but insists she is “flattered” that guys find her attractive because she has never believed she is a beautiful woman: “I must confess that I feel very flattered - because I never have felt particularly sexy. Anybody who shows me like this is promoting my feminine vanity.”

But Shakira - who appears virtually naked in the video for “She Wolf” - admits it’s not easy looking as good as she does, and she has to stick to a rigorous training regime to stay slim and sexy:

“I trained really hard for the “She Wolf” video - almost a month. I wanted to look good and didn’t want to shame myself. There was no muscle in my body that did not hurt. I was in pain for days, simply because I’d gone too far.”

Leona Lewis wishes she could “just sing” and forget about red carpets and promotional tours.

The “Happy” singer sometimes dreams about throwing away her celebrity lifestyle for a more normal existence, but will put up with almost anything if it will “help people.”

“I definitely have moments when I come home and shut the door and think that all I want to do is sing. But then I think, wait a minute—how are people going to hear my music? The bottom line is that if I can inspire, create awareness and help someone or an animal in any way, then it’s all been worth it.”

Cheryl Cole’s X Factor Food

Joan Tweedy, who lives with Cheryl and her soccer star husband Ashley Cole, is keen to ensure her daughter eats properly while filming talent show The X Factor, so sends her off every day with pre-prepared meals.

A source said, “Having Joan on board will make sure there’s plenty of healthy food prepared for Cheryl. She’s making her small packed lunches so Cheryl can have a break during work and make time to eat. It’s very sweet.”

The 26-year-old singer is keen to look her best for the show, as well as for when she launches her solo career in the coming weeks and so has embarked on a new healthy-eating regime. In an effort to maintain her perfect weight of 117lbs, she has started munching on small meals throughout the day so she is always full but never bloated.

The source explained, “I think Cheryl wanted to find a diet that would help her feel good physically and mentally. In the past she’s been criticized for her weight and hated being under the spotlight for it. She seems so much more confident now. No-one is commenting on how skinny she is any more, just how sexy she looks.”


Avril Lavigne Launches Fragrance

Pop rocker Avril Lavigne plans to release her own perfumeFor someone who has lashed out about her fellow pop rivals like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and even Paris Hilton, newlywed is hypocritically following right in their footsteps by launching a fragrance line.

The 23 year old “punk”-turned-glam girl has already penned a deal with Proctor & Gamble Prestige Products, she divulges to Women’s Wear Daily: “Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone.”

No word yet as to an exact date; however, if you truly plan on purchasing the product, you can expect it in late 2009. As much as I loathe her, I can never deny how large her fan base is. There are, after all, too many confused pre-teens and misguided teenagers who would succumb to actually spending money on this. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hot Topic ended up supplying the perfume, either.

Rocker Steven Tyler Enters Rehab

Steven TylerJust a few weeks ago, we reported that Liv Tyler and husband Royston Langdon were filing for divorce. Now we’re hearing about more personal troubles for the Tyler family.

According to Us Magazine, musician Steven Tyler has checked into the Las Encinas Hospital drug rehabilitation clinic. (This is the same location works at.) As the long-time frontman for Aerosmith, this would not be the 60-year-old’s first stint in rehab. Reports are the singer is currently seeking help for another substance abuse problem.

Back in Sept 2006, Tyler also revealed that he been going through treatment for Hepatitis C, a condition that he had had for several years. This medical issue was happening around the time he and his wife, Teresa, were divorcing after 17 years of marriage.

Kylie Minogue Talks About Misdiagnosed Cancer

On yesterday’s episode of Ellen, singer opened up about something she had never spoken about before.  Although her battle with breast cancer was quite public, her original misdiagnosis wasn’t.

As it was, the performer went in for a check-up right before the start of her 2005 concert tour only to be told that “everything was fine.”  Three years later, she is currently in remission.

“Because someone’s in a big white coat and using big medical instruments, doesn’t necessarily mean they’re right.”

Beyonce and Jay-Z Now Married

Jay-Z, BeyonceAlthough no official announcement has been released, all signs indicate that Knowles, 26, and rapper Jay-Z, 38, are now indeed married.

After the two were spotted securing a marriage license earlier this week, it was just simply a matter of when.  The couple’s decision to wed on Friday night (4/4) may have been a matter of the date’s significance.  She was born on September 4th; he on December 4th.

According to online reports, the musicians apparently had a small private ceremony earlier in the evening before a much bigger bash that night.  (Tents erected on the roof of Shawn Carter’s Tribeca apartment building indicated something was going to happen.)  Several celebrities - including the girls from Destiny’s Child and - were also seen in the area.

Well, until they come out and fully admit the news - I’m going to go ahead and congratulate them anyway.  Cheers!

Mariah Carey Considers Herself a Prude

Many words come to mind when I think of —and “prude” isn’t one of them.  But that’s just what the singer would like you to believe.

In an interview with Allure magazine, the diva not only compared herself to a beloved character (“I’m Mary Poppins: I’m what the buttoned-up girls are supposed to be.”), she goes on to call herself “freakin’ prude.”

Now before we go any further, here’s the definition of that word according to Dictionary.com:  “A person who is excessively proper or modest in speech, conduct, dress, etc.”

I just want to make it clear - I personally don’t care if Mariah is or isn’t modest, I just want to make sure she uses the term correctly.  I mean, we’ve all seen her go shopping without a bra on.  We know the lyrics to Touch My Body and Honey.  Her videos like to feature her in lingerie…or in the bathtub.  And how about the skimpy party outfits?  (You can check out a gallery of some of her photos, after the jump.)

Now if she believes the word prude to mean “woman who wants to look good and doesn’t care what you think” then maybe we’d have something.
