David ArchuletaFor several weeks, the teen and tween girls all over America carried on a TV love affair with baby-faced . The American Idol crooner swept in and stole hearts using nothing more than an “Aw, shucks” modesty and sweet smile.

Oh, yeah…and he’s got an exceptional singing voice. The women who adore him have to wait no more: David Archuleta, runner-up, has finally turned eighteen.

He can vote, he can do movies and TV without parental or guardian supervision…and he can legally marry or date anyone he pleases. The soft-spoken singer has been appearing on television a lot recently, cropping up for Christmas specials and other events. There is no doubt in my mind that he’ll also make an appearance on American Idol’s upcoming Season 8. His overwhelming popularity last year and newfound independence all but guarantee another performance on the big stage.

This year’s may be remembered for several years - the pictures not of moon men statues, but of the clothes everyone wore.

Whose couture sang the sweetest…and whose fashion was completely discordant?

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Videos, Breaking News

Paula Abdul had been mostly relegated to VH1 by the time I was old enough to start watching music videos, but I’ll never, ever forget the number she did with the rapping, cartoon alley cat. Talk about a horrible musical moment.

Abdul has recently made the attempt to resurrect her oh-so-yesterday musical career through collaboration with . The new music video for her single debuted on American Idol (and can be viewed by you after the jump), but according to reports it might not be seen anywhere else.

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Features

Katharine McPheeBuxom Idol contestant Katharine McPhee was dropped from her record label, but apparently reality roots run deep. Judge will help McPhee get back in the limelight with a new track on his album, where she’ll be paired with fellow Idol alum Elliott Yamin.

Okay, so I’ve heard the song…and it’s crap. Repetitive, boring, and throughout one can hear McPhee making strange, nonsensical noises. It’s called “Real Love,” one of the most uninspired titles I’ve heard, and the audio is currently making the rounds on the Internet. I warn you - don’t listen.
