Susan Boyle Reportedly Hospitalized After Emotional Breakdown

Susan BoyleA long, emotional ride appears to have ended with a hospital stay for internet star .

One day after losing the Britain’s Got Talent title to dance group Diversity, the 48-year-old was reportedly taken a London clinic for a possible “emotional breakdown.”

According to the Daily Mail, officials were called to Boyle’s hotel because show assistants said she had been “acting strangely.” Although police would not reveal the identity of the patient in question, they did confirm that they were called “to a central London hotel to doctors assessing a woman under the Mental Health Act.”

The program’s production company, talkbackThames, offered a few more details on the contestant’s status. “Following Saturday night’s show, Susan is exhausted and emotionally drained. She has been seen by her private GP who supports her decision to take a few days out for rest and recovery. We offer her our ongoing support and wish her a speedy recovery,” the statement read.

Early Susan Boyle Recording Discovered

Okay, by now you’ve already heard Susan Boyle’s audition for . (If you haven’t, I pray someone pulls you out from under that rock.) But have you heard her cover the blues?

A recording the 48-year-old made ten years ago recently surfaced and is now making its way through the internet. The song, titled “Cry Me a River” (not the Justin Timberlake version), was done a for a charity album. After listening to the track, I believe it’s an even better performance than her cover of Les Miserables’ “I Dream a Dream.” (You can watch that clip for the millionth time here.)
