Jon and Kate, Minus Lots of Money
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Television, Divorce, Legal Issues
Kate Gosselin has filed papers against Jon…again. This time, the spiky-haired mom of eight says that her ex withdrew $230,000 from their joint bank account.
Jon says this is not true. “I’ve never taken any money out because over ten years, Kate handled all the banking,” he told The Insider. “I have withdrawn roughly $177,000 over the course of a year, which is less than 10 percent of what we made. That’s like my paycheck.”
Gosselin went on to add more to the story, however. “She’s hiding money,” he accused in the interview. “We have eleven bank accounts. This was just our joint account. She has a best-selling book. Where’s that million dollars?”
This divorce is just getting uglier all the time.

Pat O’Brien Given Another Chance
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Drunk
Despite earlier reports that Pat O’Brien would be leaving his post on The Insider, it seems the show’s producers are being forced to return to square one.
For some time, it appeared that Donny Osmond was being groomed to be Lara Spencer‘s new co-host. Unfortunately, the performer decided he didn’t want to commit to anything more than just an interim position. Realizing the entertainment program would not work with a solo anchor alone, the Insider‘s execs opted to give the recently rehabbed frontman one more try.
Come next Monday, we’ll get to see the refreshed Pat on air once again. What we won’t see is him standing next to Spencer. For the time being, O’Brien will do his share from Los Angeles while Lara continues her hosting duties from New York. Apparently keeping him in California is the best thing for his sobriety. (He really should be within driving distance of Promises.)

The Insider Drops Pat O’Brien
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Drunk, Rumors
What’s the best way to replace a lushy anchor? You substitute him with a non-drinking Mormon.
Just last month, we told you about Pat O’Brien’s recent trip to rehab. The Insider host, who made a living by talking about other celebrity issues, entered himself into treatment hoping to “maintain his sobriety.” (In other words, he wanted to stop drunk-dialing again.)
Since O’Brien’s leave of absence, a variety of people have stepped in to fill his shoes on the entertainment program. As of late, Donny Osmond has not only been the main subject of the show’s daily stories, he’s been pulling double-duty as Lara Spencer’s co-host. Now it seems that gig will become a permanent deal. According to the New York Post, Donny will be taking advantage of his new found popularity (thanks Marie!) and become a regular fixture in our households.
As for O’Brien? Paramount is apparently opting not to ‘renew’ his three-year contract. (That sounds much better than being ‘fired’.) I guess he’ll have a lot more time now to call a few friends.

Gary Coleman on His Sexless Marriage
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: D-List, Television, Weddings, Child Stars, Where Are They Now?
A few days ago, we told you about actor Gary Coleman‘s secret marriage. The Diff’rent Strokes star, 40, married Shannon Price, 22, last August after meeting her on a film set.
Aside from their obvious age and height differences, there were two things particularly noteworthy about their union. Not only is this Coleman’s first ‘romantic’ relationship ever, it’s apparently one filled with anger issues.
Well - it seems there’s one more interesting huh?-fact that’ll trump those others: it’s never been consummated.
In an interview with The Insider, Coleman (for some reason) admits that - even after more than a year together - their marriage remains sexless.
“It’ll happen when it will happen. And it will happen for all the right reasons.”
Well, I would have thought marriage would have been a good excuse….but I guess it could always wait until the anniversary.
The Insider’s Pat O’Brien in Rehab
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Drunk
Apparently someone couldn’t handle another day of Danielynn coverage…
The Insider’s Pat O’Brien has once again become the focus of Hollywood news. The entertainment/tabloid show host just readmitted himself into rehab for alcohol abuse. This marks the second time in three years O’Brien has sought treatment for this problem.
Back in 2005, the 59-year-old hit rock bottom under very public circumstances. Sexually explicit voicemails he recorded while under the influence somehow found their way on to the internet. In an attempt to save face - and his job - O’Brien was forced to make a mea culpa on a primetime version of Dr. Phil.

Britney’s ‘Mental Issues’ Being Treated
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Meltdowns, Rumors
Sam Lufti, the shady man who has somehow wormed his way into Britney Spears’ life, made a point of calling Barbara Walters this weekend to blab about his client. The pop star’s ‘manager’ for some reason felt it was necessary to update the newswoman on Spear’s current status. (Apparently Adnan Ghalib‘s tacky interviews on Entertainment Tonight and The Insider haven’t told us enough.)
So with permission, Walters shared a portion of her conversation with Lufti on today’s episode of The View. The veteran reporter - who was very careful in choosing her words - started off by saying that she “couldn’t vouch for the information”, but that he “seemed to be very knowledgeable” and “was very nice.” She then revealed that Britney (according to Lufti) is suffering from “mental issues which are treatable.” Spears has supposedly been to a psychiatrist and (Barbara assumes) is starting some kind of treatment. Sam claims the singer has been having mood swings and difficulty sleeping. And despite rumors to the contrary, Brit’s mother (Lynne Spears) has apparently been in contact with her daughter and has offered words of support.
