According to a rep for the 18-year-old actress/singer, Demi “left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time.”
The Sonny with a Chance star "has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help,” the statement read. “Demi and her family ask that the media please respect their privacy during this difficult time. She regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future."

It will cost Lindsay Lohan a whopping $50,000 to dry out at the Betty Ford Center until January 3, per her court-ordered term. Linds is a celeb, and it should be no problem … but reports are circulating that the bill is too high for her to pay.
Lohan’s probation report states that her “clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product.” Linds will also have to wait until she leaves the clinic to receive any money from her film project Inferno, in which she plays a famous porn movie queen.
But wait … didn’t she make a lot of money from all the movies? Celebrity Net Worth suggests Linds has about half a million net, but rumors of money problems have plagued the actress for years. An April report suggests that Linds amassed an amazing debt of $1 million on her credit cards, and her current Betty Ford stay is definitely not her first rehab stint. Being addicted costs money … and stopping the addiction doesn’t come cheap, either.
So, will Linds be kicked out of the Betty Ford Center? Not likely. Like as not, Lohan is still a celeb -- otherwise, why would we care if she’s broke? -- and has all the potential to get back on top.

In addition to the drugs and alcohol, Lindsay Lohan is being treated for an addiction to email.
The Machete actress - who voluntarily entered into a substance abuse program at the Betty Ford Clinic in Los Angeles late last month - has reportedly had her phone usage cut, with staff also urging her to reduce the amount of time she spends on social networking websites.
“Lindsay is only allowed to use her phone for two hours a day, and only to keep in touch with family and close friends. Before, she would repeatedly and compulsively email her friends if she was ever in a situation where she felt lonely, and she would vent on Twitter,” a source said.
The policy has been implemented so Lindsay can “concentrate on herself” during therapy. Lindsay is due in court on October 22 for a probation hearing, after she failed two drugs tests last month.

Michael Douglas has just one cancer treatment remaining.
The Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps star, who was diagnosed with a tumor in his throat in August, is currently undergoing eight weeks of chemotherapy and radiation, and will undergo his final session this week. His recovery is then expected to take a further six weeks, with the Oscar-winning actor then to be subjected to periodic check-ups.
“No further treatments are scheduled after this week. He’s really happy about it ending. He was determined not to have a feeding tube, and he didn’t have to have one,” his publicist, Allen Burry, said.
Although the 66-year-old actor is expected to make a full recovery from the illness, he may not make anymore films. Instead, Michael reportedly wants to spend as much time with his family, wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and their two children, Dylan, 10, and Carys, seven, as he can.
“This is a man in the middle of a gigantic fight, and he wants to conserve his energy and resources. If he beats this, he intends to focus on spending time with his family. He looks like he has aged 10 years in weeks,” a friend explained.
Lindsay Lohan is back with Samantha Ronson.
The DJ regularly visited the troubled actress while she was undergoing a drug rehabilitation course at the UCLA Medical Center and the former lovers will rekindle their relationship now Lindsay has been released. Samantha has already reportedly been telling friends they are a couple again.
“Samantha always wanted to ‘fix’ Lindsay. Now that Lindsay has been legally and emotionally beat down, Sam is back to work trying to help. Apparently Lindsay never got over Sam so she was all for rekindling the relationship, a source said.
Meanwhile, Lindsay is to receive outpatient treatment several times a week. The actress - who left the UCLA Medical Center yesterday after spending 23 days there as a patient - will continue to visit the facility on a regular basis, an arrangement she is said to be happy with.
“She doesn’t have a choice but she’s not fighting it. Lindsay is going to do what she has to do. She wants this all behind her.”
-If the Today Show makes a statement saying Matt Lauer isn’t cheating on his wife, then the rumors must not be true - okay? So stop asking why he hasn’t been sleeping at home.
-Not wishing to be tased by police anymore, Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon has checked himself into rehab. Brendon has been battling alcohol problems for several years now.
-Speaking of BTVS, there’s some bad news for actress Emma Caulfield as well. The 37-year-old is splitting from Cornelius Grobbelaar, her husband of over three years.
-Valerie Bertinelli may have lost a lot of weight, but she’s just gained a lot of baggage. The TV personality is now engaged to longtime boyfriend Tom Vitale.
-Audrina Patridge finally realized she could never tame Ryan Cabrera’s hair - or his “partying ways.” The reality star broke up with the singer “about a week ago.”
Sandra Bullock‘s estranged husband - who has allegedly cheated on the Oscar-winning actress with at least four other women - is believed to have checked himself into a rehabilitation center to receive treatment for sex addiction.
Jesse James’ representative confirmed he had been admitted to a facility, but refused to specify where he was staying or what he was receiving help for.
The rep told People: “Jesse checked himself into a treatment facility to deal with personal issues. He realized that this time was crucial to help himself, help his family and help save his marriage.” A source added that it was “100 percent his own idea.”
One of Dexter Morgan’s biggest challenges was something he tackled off-camera.
Today, actor Michael C. Hall revealed that he has been receiving treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His disease, a form of cancer that is considered highly treatable, is currently in remission.
“I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition, and I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care,” the Dexter star said in a statement. It’s not known when Hall, 38, was first diagnosed.
The announcement comes days just before the annual Golden Globe Awards—an event Hall and his wife, actress and costar Jennifer Carpenter, plan to attend.

On Showtime’s website for Californication, David Duchovny‘s character (Hank Moody) is described as having three vices: drink, drugs and women. In real life, the married father is now admitting to one of his own: sex.
In a statement released by Duchovny’s lawyer, the X-Files star is shockingly open about his treatment for this private issue. While he didn’t (obviously) go into detail, the 48-year-old didn’t try to lie (like some musicians) about his situation either. (Then again, maybe Tea Leoni wouldn’t let him.)
“I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it once again: poor Ava Sambora.
Just this past April, Ava’s father, Richie Sambora, received three years probation after a DUI incident a few months ago. Now the girl’s mother, Heather Locklear, is currently away in Arizona getting help for several issues.
The actress’ rep confirmed the news in a statement released today. “Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment.”
This announcement coincidentally comes not too long after paramedics visited the Melrose Place star’s home. Back in March, an acquaintance of Locklear’s - who was not in her residence at the time - believed the star might be suicidal and requested 911 assistance. (Heather later claimed that her friend simply overreacted.)
Well, regardless of whether she needed it then, we really hope that Locklear is getting the help she needs now.
