Levi Johnston Dishes on the Real Sarah Palin

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: D-List, Rumors, Where Are They Now?

Sarah Palin and Levi Johnston

Politicians are rarely what they seem when they’re schmoozing constituents. Promises must be made, the party line must be parroted and nothing can be said that might hurt one’s chances in the next election. So…what’s really like? Most people would never know, and that’s why Levi Johnston has decided to spill his guts so we can all find out.

Find out his version of it, anyway. Johnston is the young father of Bristol Palin’s baby (Bristol Palin being Sarah’s oldest daughter), and he alleges that Palin is a different woman when the media glare isn’t focused in her direction.

“She [Sarah Palin] told me that once Bristol had the baby she and Todd would adopt him,” Levi tells Vanity Fair in the upcoming issue. “Sarah kept mentioning this plan. She was nagging…she wouldn’t give up.”

Quote of the Day: Miley Cyrus on Her Mistakes

Miley Cyrus on the set of her Vanity Fair shoot

“My mistakes are kind of a little bit harder because they are in front of millions and millions of people… I get to go through that and I get to learn. It’s hard sometimes to smile about it, because half the time, yeah, it does suck to have to go through that. But also it makes you want to try harder the next time when I know that little girls look at me and say I’m their hero.”

- Teenage phenomenon/provocative picture taker Miley Cyrus on making mistakes (because “trying harder” after the suggestive Vanity Fair shoot clearly translated to pole dancing).

Story Behind Tina Fey’s Scar Explained

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television

Tina Fey's scar

Although it seems like we’ve seen just about everywhere this year, there’s still a lot about the comedienne we don’t know. And for the first time, we’re finally learning more about one of the 30 Rock actress’ secrets.

In the January issue of , Fey’s husband, Jeff Richmond, reveals the story behind the 38-year-old’s noticeable, yet subtle, scar. The facial imperfection was a result of a stranger slashing a then 5-year-old child. “It was in, like, the front yard of her house, and somebody who just came up, and she just thought somebody marked her with a pen,” Richmond said.

Gossip Girl Spots Drew Barrymore and Chuck Bass in a Liplock

Drew Barrymore and Ed Westwick

Earlier this week, Gossip Girl Vanity Fair caught doing what she does best: moving on with another man. (And by “moving on,” I mean she sought comfort with a person she will eventually discard.)

But unlike during her previous relationships, Barrymore didn’t waste time gushing about the new man in her life. She simply let her lips do the talking.

Oh - and whom would that person she’s publicly embracing be? Why that would be Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl‘s Chuck Bass). I guess that means he’s not gay?

Vanity Fair’s Young Hollywood Issue

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Television, Photos

Vanity Fair

Earlier this year, Vanity Fair devoted one of its issues to the ‘Fresh Faces of 2008.’ Now the magazine is focusing its attention on ‘Hollywood’s New Wave.’ What’s the difference? I have absolutely no idea.

In the August edition, readers will be able to find some of the younger generation’s brightest stars (e.g. the cast of , the Jonas Brothers). They’ll also be introduced to others still making their mark.

Will all of the chosen be names still heard years from now? Probably not. But that’s what makes these issues quite interesting to me. I always find it fun trying to predict those who’ll have lasting power and those who’ll burn out quickly.

You can see some of those youthful stars after the jump. The rest of them can be found here.

Christian Coalition Upset with Miley Cyrus Photos

Miley Cyrus, Vanity Fair

As you’ve probably all heard by now, controversy has arisen from Miley Cyrus’ recent photo shoot for Vanity Fair.  Some of the pics - taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz - show a topless Miley draped by a sheet.  (You can see a behind-the-scenes photo above.)

Although she see seemed fine with how things were going at the time, the singer is now apparently “embarrassed” by the results.  (Methinks ‘s disapproval had something to do with that ounce of regret.)

Of course, it didn’t take very long for the Christian Coalition to jump on the bandwagon and offer up their two cents on the matter.  The organization doesn’t feel like a written apology from the 15-year-old is quite enough.  They believe the star should be reprimanded by her bosses and be forced to hold a press conference.  “If she’s gonna go out there and represent wholesome values, she needs to be more accountable for her actions.”

Miley Cyrus Apologizes for Racy Internet Photos

Miley Cyrus

This has definitely been a whopper of a week for singer Miley Cyrus.  Not only is she on the cover of People (Miley is one of the World’s Richest Kids, if you didn’t know), she’s admitted to being embarrassed by her new Vanity Fair photo spread and just now apologized for the internet pics viewed by every teen in America.

Via an exclusive statement issued to the magazine, the 15-year-old tries to chalk up her self-portraits to youthful errors in judgment:

“The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone.  Most of all, I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life’s journey.”

Of course, you didn’t intend for this to happen.  No one ever does.
